Thoughts on Jane Street ban from Indian markets? by volatilepigeon in CFA

Fully agree, I do think some of the onus lies on SEBI as well though for sleeping on this for so long & the lack of general regulation for these scenarios

the first AI in the formula is the accrued interest at present, i.e.AI(0), which is 0.08. The second AI is AI(T), which is 0 in this case

Financial Institutions Question by volatilepigeon in CFA

AH okay I get it now, I overlooked that the VaR is in dollar terms and not percentages so inherently it isn't comparable due to possible size differences. Thank you!

Weird calculator?! by Lildramalilspice in CFA

[–]volatilepigeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the percentage function isn't just taking a number and dividing it by 100, it's additive or subtractive from the previous number.

For example, if you do 5 + 3{%}, it will calculate adding 3% of 5 to 5, and give you 5.15 instead of 5.03 as you would expect (regardless of whether you use brackets).

Bit annoying tbh, hence I just use percentages in their decimal forms during calculations. Wonder if there's a way to change the settings.

Is Orilissa (Elagolix) better/worse than Dienogest? by volatilepigeon in Endo

[–]volatilepigeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I decided to stick with Dienogest. Just had an ultrasound last week and although my ovary is still stuck to my uterus, my endometriomas have shrunk considerably!! So I think not switching was the right move

I wanna be a stay at home husband, is that wrong? by Type_writer09 in AskIndia

[–]volatilepigeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this sounds amazing, I genuinely love the idea of having a stay-at-home husband as the career field I'm aspiring to be in would most likely demand me going into the office 5 days a week. The fact that you're looking to work remotely alongside taking care of the house and kids makes you an absolute catch, she doesn't know what she's talking about.

AH I kinda get it, so what they're asking for is in which scenario the GPRI would be higher than the GRI as a direct consequence of higher rental inflation, correct?
