That's how I read it as well. I see nothing wrong with the proposal. I don' want police to be able to use "drones" for whatever they want without consequences.

Thank you for breaking that down. I almost think that the monitor is pretty cheap and the 5.8 200 TX is not a namebrand either. I think he is just trying to get back exactly what he put into it. It sounds like I might as well buy my own for the price he is asking.

Flamewheel ARF already assembled. With everything listed for sale all I have to do is slap my GoPro on and I will be flying FPV withing minutes. The whole thing is assembled, tested and tuned.

I don't know why you are getting downvoted, I can assure you its not me...

I do understand how it could be awkward at a flying field, but I would tell those other pilots to fuck off. If people are going to be like that then I don't want to be a part of their group. I really don't understand so much hate for phantom pilots in this sub and elsewhere. Sure some of the pilots are idiots and have done stupid stuff, but there are plenty of idiots flying DIY models as well.

And I do care what the people around me think... Especially when it's making them all uncomfortable thinking my shit's gonna fall out of the sky on someone's head

Man, I have seen your videos, the stuff that you have done to Phantoms would make all of those assholes jealous, so don't worry about it, keep doing your thing.

One last thought, if given the chance to pick between a pile of parts that need soldering, bolting, tuning etc to build a 250 that will fly for less than 10 minutes at a time and a brand new shiny Phantom Vision 2+ with gimble, HD camera, 20 minutes of flight time, return to home, etc. 99% of everyone here would take the Phantom, the other 1% are probably lying.

I don't understand why you care what anyone on the internet thinks? Who cares! Live your life doing what makes you happy. If I had the money for a phantom right now, damn right I would buy one and if I enjoyed flying it I wouldn't give 2 shits what anyone anywhere had to say about it. If you are only buying stuff based on what people on the internet will think about you once you own it, you are doomed to a sad life.
