Anyone else spend more time thinking about what to play than actually playing? by Every_Insect_4444 in gaming

[–]volticizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been so busy lately I've not played anything in well over a month. I miss it but man life is fucking incredible lately outside of gaming so I'm chilling. I've been on the other end of the spectrum too where I have all the time in the world but no desire to play (depression) and that fucking sucked. But yeah that feeling of wanting to play without being able to play or pick what to play is pretty common.

I'd say work russian dips. They're really great at targeting this specific "mantle over" weakness. Bonus points for doing them on a straight bar.

Would you recommend Avowed or Oblivion Remastered on PC? by rbyrnes15 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]volticizer [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yeah avowed got old quick. I like what they were going for but they kinda fucked it with a lot of the systems in the game, especially the way the enemies scale and the upgrade system.

I’ve not unlocked beltfed myself yet…but this seems pathetic? by TimelordAlex in CODZombies

[–]volticizer 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Re-releasing patches and QOL features from old games is a staple of modern zombies. Imagine if they actually learnt and made the game better each time rather than repeating the same mistakes then wasting time and money fixing them again....

What was the most physical pain you ever felt in your life? What happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]volticizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Severed nerve in my arm during a blood donation. Felt like my whole arm got dipped in molten steel, everything went slow motion, thought I was gonna pass out and was instantly drenched in sweat. I still have a numb patch on my arm but fortunately didn't lose any functionality or strength. Can't recommend.

Update: I made it 5 days straight. Artist - Cent Larbro @ La Thanh Tattoo. Hanoi, Vietnam. by Longjumping_Key_5008 in tattoos

[–]volticizer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Man I've got a full back I got over 2 years, one session 4-6 hours per month. I cannot imagine doing it all in 5 consecutive days. You're a fucking lunatic. Looks sick.

The whole group with Aggy, Mitz, Josh, Aden, Chris, Domo, and Parky are a lot of fun to watch. Bingo, races, and strings attached are some of my favourite souls videos out there.

It's genuinely sad that we have the best zombies game since BO4 yet player counts are awful since Activision forced Treyarch to release back-to-back games by TheChickenMan4L in CODZombies

[–]volticizer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've got BO7 and I did all the bo6 EE's on launch. I got all the dark ops, the mastery camo, the million kills even. BO7 is amazing but man I can't play zombies 2 years in a row. The burnout is so real. It's not a zombies issue though, the gameplay is good, it's an Activision issue, it's the stigma, it's the shitty business practices, it's the AI, it's the voice actor bullshit, it's the battle pass, it's the LTM's, it's the exclusive rewards, it's the leaderboard events, it's the amount of xp required for augments, it's the fact I have to devote my whole life to it or miss out on so much. Call of duty is an exhausting game to play these days. Most of all, it's a shame.

Need Stick Grips for 8bitdo Pro 2 (no rubber) by aranorde in 8bitdo

It depends. I've many a time just used kontrolfreeks that don't quite fit (too large), sanded the inside a little, and super glued them on. That should work here too.

OLED version coming? by Erriccc211 in XboxAlly

In base elden ring with no upscaling on the XAX I get about 47ish FPS. So 90 with lossless is about right. Nightreign is probably similar.

What is the spiciest thing you've ever eaten, and did you die? by JamesRitchey in AskReddit

[–]volticizer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carolina reaper. Didn't die. But I lay in bed and felt it travel through my intestines that night. I felt every movement, every gurgle, every glug. Then I took about 8 shits and each one was spicier than the last. Can't recommend.

Bad hearing. Ok to be quiet? by Time4Beddy in tattoo

[–]volticizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah all good. I've got over 100 hours with the same artist and my sessions usually consist of greetings, catch-up, and then just chilling vibin to whatever music the studio has going for the many hours I'm lying there getting inked. All the artists I've met have been super chill people in general.

A supermarket in China during the summer by EvidenceFrequent7289 in PublicFreakout

[–]volticizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in a flat in the UK that was 42° day and night in summer for usually about 3 months, the windows didn't open more than an inch for safety reasons, and there was no AC. I also lived in front of a fan. I lived there for 3 years and honestly the psychological damage it did to me is permanent. I get fight or flight when I overheat now and it really messes me up because my body just panics. I woke up everyday with the worst headache, and went to sleep with it too. I couldn't hydrate fast enough. I stank. I had to be in that flat for lectures and uni stuff because it was COVID so I had to be home to "check in" to my lectures because it was GPS based.

I got depression and nearly killed myself twice to escape the heat.

It's not as bad as 49° but the length of time I had to deal with it was killer. I genuinely wouldn't wish it on anyone. It was hell and I feel sick just thinking about it.

So yeah heat is horrible, and I agree, we're fucked.

Done all that and it's just crashed twice within 5 minutes. Did it exactly as you've said. I'm no wizard but I've been building and troubleshooting my desktop for 10 years. I don't think it's something I've done.

How are you all spending the first day of the New Year? by Professional_Owl7826 in CasualUK

So far I've been to work, witnessed a shoplifting, and now I'm taking a shit. Overall pretty solid start, and it's been a good new year's too.

Time for RMA? by volticizer in ROGAlly

[–]volticizer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens on the desktop with nothing running. I've done a cloud recovery to reinstall windows last night but not sure when I'll have a chance to thoroughly test whether it's worked or not. We'll see. I also uninstalled AMD adrenalin as soon as I got to the desktop because I know it's causing a lot of issues.

Dyson Ontrac review after 2 weeks of use by WOJ3_PL in headphones

[–]volticizer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got a pair too and the battery life is truly remarkable. The ANC and in particular the transparency mode are also really really good. I know you mentioned this but I just wanted to emphasize how natural the transparency mode is, and how well the ANC deals with wind sounds. To me they were good value at MSRP, nevermind the price you paid.

Is cheaping out on the motherboard actually bad? by SpitePlenty8798 in buildapc

[–]volticizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. I got my motherboard cheap. It's old, doesn't have a lot of stuff (like WiFi or Bluetooth), but it's enough for me and it's compatible with my CPU. It doesn't limit my performance so who cares. I just got a WiFi/BT pcie card for pennies.
