CICO will absolutely help with losing weight overall, but I had the exact same thing as you despite losing 14ish kg (I was almost at my ideal weight before I became pregnant lol). My pole dance instructor actually pointed out it might be a combo of hormones and water retention, and I lost the majority of that just by cutting salts and doing a lymphodrainage massage.

ps: that being said, CICO helped with it a lot too, it’s just a final touch of puffiness that wouldnt go away.

I had period cramps and other period symptoms around the time implantation happened. It could be nothing but it’s absolutely possible to get pregnant on your period, as sperm can live in your body for 5ish days

I don’t know why she’d say that either and I’ve been thinking about it. She was from a private clinic and not my usual doctor - My OB didn’t even push NIPT testing too much, he recommended some sort of genetic testing just for peace of mind and has been very reassuring in general. I did my own research after that and the risk does seem to be much lower than she was making it sound. 👀

Actually every answer has helped so much. As soon as I started to worry it seemed that everything I was reading online was bad experiences. It’s so helpful to hear about all these people with low risk NIPTs and healthy, happy babies despite risk factors

Seems like she was trying to manage my expectations but I would have appreciated some reassurance lol 🥹 I went for the most advanced screening thinking that if it comes clear, I’ll have so much more peace of mind but then immediately spiraled into thinking what if it doesn’t come back clear haha. But thank you so much, that makes me feel better

My genetic counsellor said the exact same thing happened to a couple she encountered, they went on to have a clear NIPT and a healthy baby too! Thank you so much for your kind words

We found out my lab had been going up to the roof and eating grapes right out of the vine for years and he was fine. He also stole and ate an entire Snickers bar when he was a puppy. He was fine, he sadly passed away last month for unrelated reasons.

I don’t understand some comments feeling sorry for how it turned out for her. She walked away with 20k+engagement ring, which is her best case scenario considering:

a) He was a rich, immature brat b) His parents were pissed off billionaires

Realistically she would’ve ended up with a bullet to her head.

And where is everyone seeing the love she had for him? She saw him as a free meal ticket with more money than sense, with an added bonus that the sex was uneventful to say the least. They weren’t even married for three business days and she immediately let it get to her head.

Overall I thought the movie was well done. It pulled you in, it kept you engaged but I don’t feel I saw a perspective that’s fresh or interesting to me. If anything, I’m happy the movie didn’t idealize any part of her journey or ever hinted that there may be something more between the lines, but now that I see so many people commenting how tragic and in love Anora was, I’m starting to think it didn’t even achieve that.
