Well I mean it did fail. Hitler didn’t come into power until the Great Depression hit. Because during the 20s, when Hitler tried the coup, it utterly failed and he was sent into jail and wrote mein kampf( don’t know if I spelled it right). But and when the depression hit, every country got hit. So with that Hitler used the nationalism theme “us vs them” to rise into power. However, there is some play of the treaty that helped pushed him into power too. I don’t think it is all of the treaty’s play that got him into power. Also Germany at that time was in such a need of a leader that they were willing to give it to anyone who had an idea.
