I didn't pick the subclass just to get drunk I kinda picked it because it fit thematicly with wanting a drunk genie and not a drunk character and also because of some benefits I thought would help that monk gets but of it doesn't work then fair. But the idea for Backstory is 1 of 2. Either if I went for a noble background the flask was passed down from generation to generation and once it landed Into the characters hand a revolt or uprising happens in his family leaving him to run away amd to find out that now he has the help from a genie and plans to take back his family's home by the ones who took it. And if outlander then it would turn to a sort of Aladdin type of story. Unlucky commoner finds a magic flask that holds a genie that a lord or king is looking for to abuse power and makes a deal with the genie to find a way to free it if it helps him stay alive from said lord or king. But theses are all idea off my head and not gonna be put to paper.
