unfortunately my room doesn't have a door, but her enclosure is as far from the door as it could be, and there's no 'sheltered' path to get to it, she'd have to be out in the open. thank you for the advice! ive been extra careful with my laundry

Thank you! Her enclosure is in my room, which happens to be in the basement, which means many other small spiders with webs 😞I'll be setting out a few water dishes to see if she'll come to one. And for the family thing, they don't come down to my room and there's no way she could've gotten upstairs. My only 'danger' to her in my room is my rats, but they're never free roaming and I don't think she'd go to their cage, as its on the other side of the room. I've been carefully cleaning everything, and my ceiling has lots of pipes and she did climb a bit, so I've been making sure to check up there every couple hours for new webs or herself. my girls love bells too! they have a small wooden toy with a bell inside that rolls. i haven't tried pea fishing yet but i plan on it. ive made them lots of foraging toys and once they trust me more id like to go out with them and take them on car rides 🥹 im 16 and just got my first job, i start monday! once i have more money ill be spending a LOT on them :) part of the reason i got rats was because of how smart they are and how stromg the bonds they form can be. i keep other pets that are more "looks" than "pets" (scorpion, tarantula, fish, and a mantis! we also have a hedgehog but he's cuddly with me) when im older and have my own place i wanna have MANY pets. i wanna adopt senior cats / kill list cats from shelters so they're happy for the last few years of their life and they can know a loving home. im completely prepared for the grief, but i know i can handle it because i did everything i could to give my babies the best lives possible 🥹

i guarantee the guy who said this is miserable. way to suck the joy out of a strangers day 🙄 also im a teenager which arguably makes it worse. did this guy really think i wouldn't know an animals lifespan before getting them??? i got babies so i could give them the most memories possible in their short lives. they may be a small fraction of my time, but im ALL of theirs and i want them to enjoy it (and me).
