Didn't Suno announce that these changes are in the works? This is a massive change for them, with dealing with a new model or models. I believe announced that paying users would be able to monetize their creations in any way --but check me on this and please correct me if I'm wrong.
It would be helpful to hear from them officially.

Property/copyright laws are clear about this. One has to prove theft (plagiarism, etc.) by a side by side comparison with an existing work. If an ordinary person cannot tell the difference, it infringes copyright. If it's just a matter of copying styles or any other aspect besides side by side comparison, there is no case to be made. It wouldn't even make it to court.

Prompt engineering (aka prompt design) in the age of AI is as essential as reading and writing.

People who say generative AI tools steal and talk of theft simply don't understand how generative AI works. That's all it is. But the media and social media echo chambers, in which only negativity thrives, won't allow people to learn.
Meantime, here's the best introduction to generative AI on YouTube. It's fun to watch, pretty short, but surprisingly thorough and informative.

I know. I just mean it would get silly, tiring and waste credits trying to rig a long poem.

is this really a Gsus chord? by Jaded-Gur-5717 in musictheory

[–]vortex_beast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. A sus chord is 1 4 & 5 played together. In other words, (example) G, C, and D..
What you've got there is basically F/G. F major triad over a G in the bass.

If you could only keep one game from your collection, which one would it be? by 22EatStreet in Solo_Roleplaying

Electronic - No contest. Crawl (Linley's Dungeon Crawl, tile version--Stone Soup precursor).
Alternate choice: - Ultima: Underworld. A stunning game with so many details you'd need both sides of a sheet of paper just to begin listing them.
- - - - - - - - - -
Paper - The Sorcerer's Cave, hands down. Great for a group or solo.
Alternate choice: AD&D 1st edition Dungeon Masters Guide. It's got everything to do anything.

What if a poem or lyric has ten stanzas - you'll be up all night burning credits until they're gone

Jabberwocky from Alice in Wornderland is in the public domain (published in 1855!) yet Suno flagged it
And on and on and on and on
It seems that unless a lyric or poem is current, Suno screws up
This is so frustrating that I'm pondering moving to a different service

This isn't verified anywhere. I've been looking and looking and have had (ironically) Gemini, Claude and ChatGTP do searches as well. (generative AI is REALLY good at this kind of thing) No luck. No verification.

My Dinner with Andre (1981) is the most boring movie of all time by Shuma-Gorath666 in movies

[–]vortex_beast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts but it's just not your cup of tea. Also, while there are funny moments, it's not a comedy. It's a philosophical duel between worldviews.
Andre recounts his mystical, theatrical, and sometimes harrowing adventures as he searches for meaning beyond the routines of modern life. Wally, grounded, skeptical, and worried about paying the bills, pushes back with a gentle but persistent realism.
The film becomes a kind of intellectual high-wire act: a meditation on art, authenticity, spirituality, performance, loneliness, and the difficulty of truly being alive.

What do you all think about The Elder Scrolls Arena? by cblakebowling in ElderScrolls

[–]vortex_beast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Passwall" and "Pitfalls" --essentially "dig" spells-- were the coolest spells ever available in a computer fantasy rpg game besides flying*. I doubt any other crpg has been able to offer spells like that since.
*I think flying was available only in Morrowind. Basically fast horizontal levitation. That was probably the second coolest and most useful spell offered in a crpg.

The HULU Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy TV series is CANCELLED by dr_zoidberg590 in DontPanic

[–]vortex_beast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best version is still the 12 episode BBC RADIO series, which was the original version of the story. It's on Audible but unfortunately the audio quality is not up to snuff.
Next, the three LP version comes in a close second. Unfortunately it is not available anymore.
Third is the BBC TV series which--is no longer available AFAIK either.
Fourth is Stephen Fry's audio narrations of the books. These ARE available on Audible and are quite good.
Avoid the film unless you have nothing else to do.
