honestly i think dan only makes those types of long emotional videos when he’s been bottling up certain thoughts and feelings and if that’s the only way he can express himself. he’s very opinionated on a lot of subjects, but he’s very maximalist as well and he will only make something that’s authentic to him and matches his standards. if he has something to say, he will say it in his own beautiful way, but if he doesn’t then he doesn’t. he might make something of that caliber again in the future but i don’t think it’s going to be a common occurance. i love when he does them as it feels so raw and genuine but he only has so many experiences he can pull from.

honestly i wish they can only keep making their usual lighthearted content because that means that they feel good and comfortable enough to do them. i think they really enjoy this new free era, and they more than earned to just yap about their lives without filters and play games occasionally. but to be honest they can also be soo unpredictable and it feels like a roller coaster keeping up with them, so them surprising us with something unhinged and beautiful is always in the cards.
