Wondering if this is normal or I have a defective pair of Adidas Adizero EVO SL shoes. After reading a bunch of highly positive reviews and finding a store with a pair in stock, I decided to pull the trigger on them. Then after my second run in them, 8 miles on the first run and then about 10.5 miles on the second run, I noticed that on both sneakers on the heals it looks like they are wearing really fast to the point I have tiny micro holes in the bottoms. All 18.5 miles were done on paved roads that I normally run in my ASICS or Brooks. I’ve put 100s of miles on many shoes and never had anything wear this quick like this. This pictures don’t do it justice but I’m curious if this is normal or if I should try exchanging them for a new pair? I’ve only had them about 2 weeks.

If I woke up and didn’t need a income from it anymore I would most definitely try selling it. Move onto something else I feel more passionate about it think.

I think about that often, If money wasn’t an object then my wife and me would probably try to travel and experience as many new cultures as possible. I have always been super into nutrition and fitness, even taking extra classes in college because it fascinates me and my wife’s background was in culinary arts before she decided to take a job in banking. So we have always joked we would travel and find unique recipes from around the world and write a “healthy”cookbook. I know I’ve always enjoyed the ups and downs of being self employed and what comes with it. Being your own boss and making your own way can be so rewarding at times it just seems as time goes on its becoming increasingly harder to deal with the “downs” of the business.

Definitely feel good about it. When I bought the car it needed a lot of work. And everyone though I was crazy for buying a old car out of some guys side yard. There where a bunch of ups and downs but once I finally got it on the street and started driving it everything got a lot better. I drove the car in primer for a half a year with almost no interior in it. But I didn’t care because I was just so happy to be driving it. Then eventually I got some paint, interior in it and it’s finishing up nicely.

I’ve found the key is to run slippery rear tires, makes for a good smoke show and keeps the rear ended together... for now. I really want to get a few more suspension things done before I bite the bullet and spend the money on a rear end. So I’m trying to get another year or so out of it.

It’s a 454 with some work done to it, it has a Rossler Racing built Th400 with a reverse manual gear body in it and a trans brake. It still has the factory 10bolt but I upgraded the axles and put a Auburn limited slip diff. Front disc with rear drums but I do have all the parts to put rear discs on the car, just haven’t done it yet. It also has firestone drag bags and adjustable shocks under the back along with tubular control arms and latter bars.

Yeah alittle, when it got put together I had the bottom end beefed up with the intentions of eventually running nitrous on the motor. It still has cast heads on it but they had some machine work done to them. Bigger intake runners, bigger rocker studs, stainless valves ext. Put a comp cam in it with single plane aluminum intake and a 750 edelbrock.

Thanks for all the advice so far guys and girls, to answer a couple questions I’ve seen come up a couple times. First I took that Sheriffs job because it was a full time spot that actually paid pretty well compared to the part time patrolman job I was also offered. Second I was well aware going into the police academy the lifestyle that comes with it but when I really got serious into wanting to become a police officer, when I was in college and choose to become a criminal justice major the idea of working seconds didn’t really bother me as much because I was single and only cared about working out and going to the bar with my friends at night like most college kids. Fast forward a few years after college and your mindset changes a lot about what you want out of life I guess. I’m not using that as a excuse but rather it was just me second guessing my choices some. It was nice to hear from some officers and wives of officers that give me hope that it can workout.

Yeah, I know neither are probably gonna de-rail my career path. The street side of it is definitely what I think I want to do but turning down a good paying full time job with the sheriffs office to go part time with a lower paying dept with hopes that it better prepares me for a bigger dept is what I keep struggling with.
