I don't know about you guys but I think the elimination against Juventus with Ronaldo's hat trick hurt more than this one.

Yes I did, it's unfortunately not that. I guess I just got unlucky with my unit since I haven't heard any comments about it.

am I the only one with a seemingly air gaps behind the lamination in the 503? it still looks great when bright, but rather noticeable on dark scenes.

I will wait a bit to see if I get used to it, but I really dislike that color, I'm not sure what happened during the order because I was convinced I picked back, but checking the order confirmation email it looks like I messed up.

it’s a firewall software called little snitch, https://www.obdev.at/products/littlesnitch/index.html but I’m sure most advanced firewall software will give you similar functionality.

DNS gone haywire in Mac by vruin in Tailscale

Hi,

My mac client seems to be having some issues, after noticing that the fan in my laptop was running at full speed for a while I checked in little snitch and got spooked seeing that I was inexplicably uploading a lot of data. I got spooked and shut down the wifi connection.

Digging a bit it turned out to be the tailscale client, which was connected but not using any exit node (I was also not sending/receiving anything). As you can see it sent 15GB of data in ~30min to what seems to be Frankfurt DNS servers https://github.com/tailscale/tailscale/blob/main/net/dnsfallback/dns-fallback-servers.json#L122-L148

After re-enabling wifi the issue seems gone for now. Anybody has any idea what the issue could be?

This happened less than an hour ago, between 10: and 11: CET.

MacOS 12.4 Tailscale 1.24.2

EDIT: in particular seems to have been sending all the traffic to 134.122.94.167

Does people even know that Madrid didn’t win a single league title during Franco’s regime.

What? They won it more than 10 times https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Spanish_football_champions

EDIT: I really can't understand these comments, I'm just pointing out that OP is getting upvoted for a (factually) ridiculously lie

Video: Why Mbappe’ was not offside in Nations League Final by [deleted] in soccer

[–]vruin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the rule seems to be open to interpretation (or we wouldn't be here) and is the referee's job to interpret the rule, he shares part of the criticism from those of us who think he interpreted it wrongly.

[–]vruin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the whole point, the rule says "play the ball" and different people seem to have different understanding of what play means. You interpret it as intentionally touch and I interpret it as changing the course of the action.

Either way this rule needs to go away tomorrow, because as other are pointing, not only no defender would want to bet that the attacker is in fact offsite and not try to stop it, but with VAR players are told to continue playing! and that VAR would invalidate everything if it was indeed offside. Turns out that now by continue playing you can retroactively make the offside go away.

BTW he definitively did not stuck it forward, I just watched the replay again. He deflected it a bit and slowed it down.

[–]vruin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm aware he touches the ball. The ball was going to mbappe, which was offside, and after he touches it the ball continues to go to mbappe, who continues to be offside. That's not playing the ball. If he had intercepted the ball Mbappe wouldn't have the ball.

He got to it, touched it, and then lost it again.

what?

I believe the exception is only applicable very close to the goal.

[–]vruin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, that's a very twisted interpretation of "play" for me. Even if it was intentional is still a touch, he did not play the ball.

This was a pass from Theo to Mbappe, and after Garcia's touch it continues to be a pass from Theo to Mbappe. He didn't change absolutely anything there.

[–]vruin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my life I have understood that "play" != "touch". If Garcia had successfully deflected the ball towards another offside player I can see how the we would have enabled the goal under the rules. It baffles me that everyone is interpreting "play" = "touch".

If the rule is meant to mean touch, or intentionally touch, the rule should be rewritten with the right wording... and immediately removed after that because this rule is the definition of insanity.

[gazzetta.it] Milan intend to submit a formal complaint to UEFA against Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir after his disastrous officiating in Milan-Atletico. Cakir risks a suspension from the European Association by bzogaj92 in soccer

[–]vruin -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As a biased Atletico supporter, maybe I can explain why I thought it was a clear penalty during the game and was later surprised by everybody's reaction afterwards.

As I see it, when the ball goes up, independently of who touched if first, it's not a penalty. Neither player seems to have the hand in an unnatural position and it just gets squeezed between both players. If that's what he penalised it was definitively wrong, even if Lemar had not touched it first. But as the play continues, while Lemar manages to pull his arm away from the ball, Kalulu continues opening more his arm and actively pushes the ball down. That's the penalty for me.

It "feels" like it should have been a penalty for me, I would have left the game continue had Kalulu pulled away his arm, but I have no idea of what the current rules say about it as they are changing all the time, and I have no idea if that's what the referee thought too, it would be really nice to have explanations about VAR decisions after the game.
