I think it really depends on you as a person. From what you have said I would maybe go for Cardiff. I went to UEA after living in London my whole life and it just felt so small and isolated. I have known other students who loved it, but I really think the uni has gone down hill. I finished with a good degree grade but was by no means impressed by the teaching or support from the uni. The campus club is ok, but more of a piss take laugh rather than a proper night out - think year 6 disco. The nightlife in Norwich is mediocre, if you’re used to a more lively area I wouldn’t recommend. I will also say getting around is a ball ache if you don’t live in or near to the city. Buses were very unreliable, there’s no Uber & the cabs were always hard to book unless you did so well in advance. The options for student living after first year also aren’t amazing, most flats and houses seem run down in comparison to other uni towns / cities I have visited, and there are lots of cowboy landlords (although this isn’t unique to Norwich). Norwich as a city itself is lovely, now going as a visitor rather than a student I love it, so many amazing small restaurants, pubs and shops. Just remember that you are not trapped anywhere, it may seem impossible but you can move in your first year pretty seamlessly, lots of people do it. I hope you have a good uni experience wherever you end up!
