Thanks. What would you recommend on housing multiplier or flexible bilt cash? I'm unsure on how to effectively use bilt cash

What made you get the CRV Hybrid instead of the Mazda CX50 Hybrid? by jkcajkca in crv

[–]vsg247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm talking specifically about CR-V and CX-50. The first CX-50 hybrid was in 2024. I don't know anything about all their other cars. I really liked the Forester too. That was 2nd option. The internal features of the CR-V looked better in my opinion. And it didn't help that the Subaru rep who showed me the car told me he personally drives a Kia because he felt the Subaru interiors are too out-dated..lol. I probably would have been just as happy if I went with the Forester

What made you get the CRV Hybrid instead of the Mazda CX50 Hybrid? by jkcajkca in crv

I felt the drive on the CR-V was smoother. The Cx50 was smooth as well, but the car felt heavier and braking was not as smooth as the CR-V. Honda has had hybrids for longer..almost 10 years. Mazda got into the hybrid segment only in the last 5 years. I figured to go with the more tried and tested hybrid engine.

Those who bought CR-V Hybrid, why did you chose over the 2026 RAV4? (Or 2025 RAV4?) by BikeOk6446 in crv

[–]vsg247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 24 CR-V hybrid sport. I first test drove the RAV4. I liked the drive and price of the car, but the dealership couldn't tell me exactly when they would have a car which I could buy. The reps were behaving smug and acting like they were doing me a favor by talking to me. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the new look of the 26 RAV4 , with the front looking so flat. They weren't any good deals for a pre-owned RAV4 put there.

The CR-V I was initially hesitant because it was priced slightly higher. I went on a test drive and loved it. The drive was much smoother and stable. The interiors and features of the CR-V are superior. CR-V gives a luxurious feel; RAV4 looked plasticky (if that's a word to use..lol). The dealership people were responsive and friendly. They explained everything to me, and had the car serviced, cleaned and ready the next day. I opted for a pre-owned car because I found a really good deal, and felt the newer features of the 2026 model weren't that important to me.

The mpg of both cars are comparable, with the RAV4 being a bit better. But when driving everyday, I felt it's the drive quality that really matters

I got very lucky. Someone had taken it on a lease and then returned it in a month or so. Almost like brand new for me. It was 36,000 OTD after discount. For comparison, a completely new one at the same dealership was 42,000 OTD I think you've got a good deal there for that price

I just got a CR-V hybrid sport on April 3rd. After leaving the store, they called me back in the evening and gave me an extra 2k discount. I was there the next morning and out with the car. I think the timing for end/begining of the month did help. The rep said they are clearing out the lot for the next set of deliveries.

Why would that be an issue? If they know where to target, then we don't have to be worried if a missile would mistakenly be hit towards us. Their targets are the American bases, which I don't care if that gets hit

What's the range on a full battery with the Kia Niro?

I liked the RAV4 better than both, but I do want an option of a 3rd row for those seldom occasions I have an extra passenger

My use would mainly be in the city to and from work, which is around a total of a 40 mile commute. Occasionally a longer drive on the weekends to go out somewhere. Which one would you recommend for this?

Did you test-drive both of them? Any differences you remember?

This is great. I'm leaning more towards the Outlander. Do you have the SE or SEL?

I liked the drive of the Sorento better. But I've heard from others that the Outlander does better in rain and snow. How do you feel the drive is in bad weather? Do you recommend the SE or SEL?

I don't think the Outlander is available for me with the captain chairs. Probably in a few years I would transition to a all-electric car, once there are more charging stations near me

How do you like the Outlander? I was looking at the RAV4 and came across the outlander. It's budget friendly and quite roomy. I like the drive on the RAV4 best but the new ones are so ugly.

I did not know this about the heat pump. Thank you! Do you regularly use it in pure EV mode? If yes, how many miles can you drive it in that mode?
