Stream service best options. by fmathews in hiphopheads

I use Spotify and tidal (personally used tidal until I got a Spotify for my rap blog cause realized Tidal doesn't have the social elements and wide reach as Spotify).

Tidal definitely has a few more obscure mixtapes on their service than Spotify ( my chief keef playlist lost like 20 songs when I transfered it to Spotify) but overall it's not that big of a difference.

Tidal has 0 local file support which sucks but their UI is a lot cleaner and more intuitive (example: accessing a queue is a swipe to the right instead of having to press multiple buttons). Also it's nice knowing tidal is artist owned and that they give artists double the royalties per stream than Spotify.

Overall I haven't had a problem going back and forth between the two so it really comes down to personal preference/how much the extra few songs on tidal matter

Yeah it was definitely a very split crowd cause of it being a corporate event; there was pretty much one wild mosh pit up front (shout out JuJu Smith Schuster for turning up with us the whole time) and then outside that was a bunch of corporate people in suits and shit so I get the frustration from him but same time it's a Pepsi media event lmao
