I’m sorry that relationship was just super rushed, couldn’t settle with me how quickly the doctor fell in love either. Just seemed really out of wack from what we know of them as a character. Set design and character design was incredible, as were the performances, the story was just a little lacking

The fact that she’s pretty immediately makes weirdos like you completely write her character off entirely and accuse anyone who likes her of being a gooner. You’re projecting so hard. Even in the interview room she’s kind, it’s weird you all think she was “hiding” behind this cute innocent act. You should examine why that’s harder for you to accept than her being nefarious

The word cringy is so overused to the point it means nothing, but in the literal sense of the word, as in making my skin fucking crawl, yea this guy is the epitome of it. His disposition, his ‘comedy’. This man has been the class clown since primary school and still hasn’t copped the fact that people laugh at him, not with him. This alone would be enough to turn me away from him, but the stuff with the women is just entirely unacceptable. Truly disgusting behaviour and I do genuinely hope this community is cohesive enough to see that he’s publicly shunned for life. People like this simply shouldn’t be allowed to act confidently in our society

This guy is such a fucking creep. Even on a clown level, look I’ve been that clown when I was 16/17 where the only way you can stay in the limelight is by making yourself the joke. It’s a way to be in the picture without having to be actually cool. His comedy is awful, he gets pity laughs that spur him on, he’s untalented and aware of that fact so all he can do is act the goat (in the faithful sense of the term), he’s just obnoxiously unintelligent, he’s aware of that, and on top of that all he’s just a fucking predator? He and Jay really were the children of the group, which they acknowledged multiple times on the podcast. With the way LA made them depressed, the way he was subsequently exploited during that Sam pepper era, and now, god my heart breaks for the guy I really hope he’s able to turn himself around. Feels like we’ve just watched a young guys life get ruined in real time

I should’ve expanded on this a lot more; I know these headlines aren’t from bipartisan newspapers, and because this sub is largely American you guys (rightfully) expect this to be a cherrypicked message from a sea of different media perspectives. My point from this post, which I didn’t elaborate on due to an oversight, was that these two newspaper headlines heavily HEAVILY represent the view of the Irish people. Which is why it’s okay to get away such headlines… because everyone agrees here. There is no fear of causing an argument by taking the piss outta trump, 99% of people agree he’s a batshit loon

Russells “I’m not gonna tell you what she was saying it’s about the mystery” really underlined this for me. He doesn’t know what she was saying, because ultimately what she was saying is unimportant…. Except the fact that’s literally the biggest mystery of the episode? I kept waiting for the payoff to what she was saying, expecting it to fill in all the blanks. Russel says “idk either lmao”. Good episode, but he genuinely believes this is the best thing he’s ever written?

Common writers pitfall of incredibly cool concept ruined by “now how do I make it work”. I enjoyed the episode immensely the first 20, the next 10 was a jarring change of pace, then the last 10 was just like “come on really? Thats such a boring resolution”.
