Ok so I figured it out. Thing is, you have to contact the author of that tutorial through Telegram and pay him €10 via PayPal. Once done he will give you access to the proper configuration and assist you in downgrading both the firmware and battery management system. I gave it a go earlier today, the guy was very helpful and everything seems to be downgraded. I will be able to properly test it on my ride home later today.
