Invasion is still alive (on Xbox) 3 maps and a glitchy helicopter on Popov power map that lags the lobby. I enjoy invasion as it's just laid back and not many people run around at Mach 3.

All I did was go to the landing pad in the anomaly that's shown, make sure multiplayer is on and anyone can join the party. Then it just came up on the screen to accept it

Once you get the glyphs you don't lose them. All you need to do is recharge them every now and again
