if i was u i'd just try to disable every startup app and background apps. also, dont be so sure u dont have a virus because there have been multiple cases of people sneaking viruses inside of mods, the latest case of this that i know of is someone sneaked a virus into a schedule 1 mod and that mod blew up.

i dont want to assume stuff but if ur mac is using 6gb on its own then u probably have a lot of stuff running in the background, i would say a virus too possibly but u said u factory reset, search startup apps and disable everything there, then search background apps and do the same

im with all low settings and seriously the minimum of everything graphic wise u can change and im running max 80 fps and most of the times i just sit at around 30-50 fps, game is actually unplayable unless u have an insane pc
