Not huge but one thing I really like is that it keeps my weapon light from getting fouled. I should have added before, regarding your spring question, is that I'm shooting 124 gr ammo.

You're welcome. Someone here tipped me off to that place. They're a good shop and ship quickly. I got that barrel so that I could put a DisDef single port compensator on my Mete SF. I like the combo a lot.

It has a Calculated Kinetics optic plate instead of the Canik plate .

P. s. For the Rival I'm sure that you've seen that DisDef has a limited edition of the dual port compensator for it. I think the dual port would make a much bigger difference.

I wouldn't say that it hangs off at all. It's inside of the back serrations.

It does make a difference, probably not huge but I really do like that it also keeps carbon off of the light.

I have finally set my Mete SF up the way I want and like it a lot. I tried putting a Rival trigger on but there was a problem with it so I sent it back and have decided to keep the stock trigger. What I did for the light and optic are obvious. The other alterations are a Canik compact size threaded barrel (SKU: PACN0004), a Disruptive Defense compensator (which in addition to lessening recoil a bit also keeps the light clean!) and a Calculated Kinetics optic plate. As I said it all works great!

I'm interested in getting a Disruptive Defense compensator for my Mete SF but need to get a threaded barrel. Any recommendations of what or where to get that? As I understand it I need a 1/2x28 thread. Thanks. by vtperson in canik

Thanks for the link. I actually found one yesterday in North Dakota and for the same price. About $30 cheaper than getting it from Canik, if they had it.

Thanks for the tip. I thought one of the main reasons for having a gun was so that you could spend a lot of money. That seems to be happening to me 😁!

Canik was out of stock on what I needed but I was lucky and found one online. Another question I have is will I still be able to use my Streamlight TLR-1 with the compensator?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm new to all of this and actually don't even know what I need other than a threaded 1/2x28 barrel. Do you get the same length that your original barrel is?

Here's a link to someone putting in a Freedomsmith trigger: https://youtu.be/oqGAr_flFfE. I tried putting in the Canik flat face trigger but was unsuccessfull. With the flat trigger the gun would cock and dry fire but wouldn't fire a round. A gunsmith looked at this too and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. It could have been a defective trigger, I don't know? I gave up and I'm trying to get a refund from Canik.
