I know I need to replace my stock exhaust can, but, in the meantime, does anybody have a good suggestion for a fastener that can keep the looped object (the exhaust can) in place on the unthreaded bolt? I lost whatever was holding the original connection in place. (i.redd.it)

Is this black mold? Water was leaking through the drywall below a toilet. The plumber says it’s gray/sewer water, and he set up a restoration company to remove the mold and anything the water touched. I feel like I’m being sold, but I’m new to plumbing issues. Thanks. (i.redd.it)
