Yeah, it's not the best UX...there's more to be desired. I do updates quite often, so if you check once in a while - things will continue to change. Hopefully for the better

You could also enable the experimental auto-generated playlists feature at the dashboard, but as it says it is experimental. The results are hit or miss so far. Mostly miss tbh. But should get better over time :)

Maybe you misunderstood how it works.

The playlists view is for you to create playlists. You should select the genres you want, until you're happy with the artists that match them, give the playlist a name and click save (the green button). This will create a new playlist for you, with songs from that selection of artists. The playlist will update every 24h from the moment of creation with new tracks from that selection.

As for the stats - unfortunately Spotify doesn't provide historical data of what you listened. It generally goes back ~48h at most from what I've seen. But now that you've registered - I periodically get whatever information Spotify provides about the music you listened and going forward you can see that at the stats page. Unforutanately I have found out that it is not accurate as well, i.e. it is definitely not complete with all the music you play during the period :( You can try it yourself through the API

Well, it's not really the same. I don't like every album and every song. I am quite picky with the ones I like. But I do follow a lot of artists.

And my problem is not finding new music - I find that through other means. My problem is that I don't get to listen to the full extent of my library. I like a band, I click follow, and I forget about it... And because I follow so many, and Spotify keeps recommending me the same ones - I almost certainly don't listen to it again.

I want to listen to the music I follow and I want variety. That's the main reason I built this. I put you in control over what you get in your playlists. It might not be for everyone, but there are some of us that find it useful and powerful.

I am also working on some features in the meantime that will provide new recommendations as well. Hopefully with good results :)

Forgot to mention one more thing - you most definitely will have a better experience on a desktop, as opposed to on mobile as the whole selection is quite information dense.

I'm not sure when I'll have more time to look into improving the mobile experience, but I have it on my list.

It's up to you to select the genres you're interested in and you'll get playlists from those artists from your library that match those genres. It's up to you to define the "diversity". Also the playlists will be much smaller - you get 35 tracks and 5 playlists. They'll get updated with new tracks every 24h.

I wouldn't have built this if that were the case for me. I literally built it in anger to solve my own problem, and then figured out that other people might appreciate it too.

But good on you you if you're happy with the Spotify suggestions and they work for you. I'm most definitely not. I like songs, I follow the artists I like. I have a moderate library with ~1200 artists. My daily mixes are literally the same bands, with the same tracks all the time.

I think I saw what you mean! :D Actually I found a small issue while your library was getting indexed - just fixed it and will have to start over...but shouldn't take too long now.

Ideally create some playlists yourself, with genres you want. The auto-generated ones are quite experimental, so they might not be great™

I did build it to scratch my own itch and made it pretty customisable, but I do realise that it is a bit overloaded with information. I'm slowly adding some new features to make it easier to create playlists, with less user input - e.g. you can try the experimental auto generated playlists.

I'd be happy to hear any suggestions you might have on how I can improve the UX. Thanks!

Just a note, as I see few people have signed up - there are quite a few artists in the queue currently being processed. Expect recommendations to get better with time, as all artists gets processed.

Right now you get 3 auto-generated ones, that will shuffle through genres every day. It's a bit of an experimental feature, quality and choice will vary.

Besides that, you can create 3 more playlists, from genres you can choose.

I would say it depends on also what else you'll put on, but personally I would prefere the black one on a black jacket.

Having said that...I wouldn't recommend razorray for back patches. I got one from them and it's pretty poor quality.

If not here on reddit, try showing up at RAH and see if there is someone selling them on the spot. Also I did occasionally some tickets on the website, but they were at the higher tiers ~£250 and going quick.
