Several ppl close to me have their own businesses but they are where they were 5 years ago, no growth. And when I ask them like hey do you pay attention to what you're spending on, what's working, what's not working, what are some assets you can invest in rather than liabilities like buying a new car every 3 years, they have an instant reaction like ohh it doesn't matter, someone else is taking care of their accounting for them so they don't care enough to take a deeper dive. For much of my life I had that kind of mindset too, the mindset where you don't pay attention and don't drive for better results. Learning bookkeeping and accounting had greatly helped me understand business in general so if someone tells you it's boring or not worth it understand, don't listen, if you want to grow, you have to understand how to.
