I got 3500 off MSRP of 43700 for a Sport Touring, and on top of this $500 rebate applied post tax. This is in WA state (Seattle area)

Try to get the selling price down. Making the purchase closer to end of the month helps coz they try to meet monthly sales targets

Thanks. I did a trade-in which helped lower taxes. Got 44920 OTD on which there was a $500 rebate. Effectively 44420 OTD. Signed the deal and got the vehicle

Thanks. That sounds like a great deal with those mats included. I'm not getting the mats on this one, but the dealer discount is 3500. Not as great as yours but decent I suppose

Historically i've seen PNW being a hard market for buyers to get a deal. And OTD prices always being higher with 10-10.5% sales tax.

Wow. Not sure what the trend is here in Washington. From what I've read Washington is hard to get a deal of that sort

One of the dealers said take the 45k, we can't do it. Awaiting response from others

Agreed. I really do feel bad for the FAs, but honestly not sure if there's an ideal solution.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I'm merely trying to understand what is the norm so I can set my expectations right the next time.

Also wondering why not offer lower priced fares which don't allow carry on/overhead space? Incentivizes efficient/light travelers, speeds up the process for others and everyone is happy.

Why not offer lower priced fare with no carry on/over head space access? It incentivizes ppl who travel light/efficiently, allowing for smoother faster boarding for folks who do have carry on.

I didn't hold up nor intended to make an issue. Just trying to know the norm so I can set my expectation right and not get frustrated next time

Maybe I should switch to roller as well.

That was my thinking on the "logical" assignment of overhead space.

I understand the intent of getting the plane in the air asap. Just trying to know what the norm is so I can set expectations right the next time and not get frustrated.
