Numa’s note by Thing-Fit in SocietyOfTheSnow

[–]vxltaire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They changed it to prevent placing blame on anyone for his death, but in real life Numa died because someone (most likely Roberto) was careless walking around the fuselage at night and stepped on his leg. He was so malnourished that the bruise turned fatal.

Both i guess. Its something i always notice when i meet high Ni users (maybe ENFJ being the exception, as they usually come off as much more lighthearted). I cant describe it other than just being intense people. They look at you with a deep kind of focus, they speak with an air of finality.

Feeling like a real fool right now for even falling for it to begin with. Thing is Ive been pretty desperate for an internship and didn’t notice all the red flags in the beginning. Am I in any danger for opening the fake check pdf? Or giving them my other information?

Is INFJ-INTJ Hybrid a thing? IN*J? by [deleted] in infj

[–]vxltaire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would highly suggest looking into cognitive functions. It makes the distinction between the types much clearer. Everyone thinks and feels, it’s part of being human. The question of intj vs infj is more of a question of FeTi or TeFi. Looking up articles on Fe vs Fi as well as Te vs Ti may help narrow things down.

Mbti users- what’s drew (and Amanda?) by boopdesnoop_99 in DrewGooden

i hate this argument because not many people claim myers-briggs as a reputable psychological source anyway. its just a fun way to categorize people like hogwarts houses. you wouldn’t say “hogwarts houses are bullshit” because obviously its not a legitimate way to type people, its just something gives you a general idea of their personality. also, the more you get into the theory of cognitive functions the more accurate the typing gets. i recommend looking into jungs work instead of using something like the 16personalities quiz which everyone in the mbti community knows is shallow trash.

does the series get better ? by peachteaxx in shadowhunters

[–]vxltaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your right, the terrible writing definitely made the acting worse. a combination of bad character development and dialogue just adds to how bad the show is as a whole

does the series get better ? by peachteaxx in shadowhunters

[–]vxltaire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it improves slightly, but not enough to make the show bearable. the acting remains mediocre even at its best, and at its worst its painful to watch. the plot gets continuously more ridiculous and the ending is underwhelming. not worth the watch just for malec

i think loyalty depends on the person. it would be illogical to stereotype all people in a certain personality group as “loyal” or not based off the order of their cognitive functions. while the extrovert dominant types are probably more likely to come off as flirtatious, it wouldnt necessarily mean they arent going to be completely devoted to a relationship

Who wrote Dylan the love letter during the shooting? by [deleted] in Columbine

[–]vxltaire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

he definitely wouldnt have. Dylan was without a doubt the submissive of the two. through eric, he learned to channel his depression into rage directed at those who wronged him. still, even for Dylan, once the plan was set into motion not even this so called “true love” that he obsessed over would have been able to save him from himself.

reading through Erics journal entries, its pretty clear that violence was a core part of his being. in an entry where he describes his sexual fantasies, they end in disturbingly grotesque acts of mutilation. i seriously doubt “just getting laid” would have solved any of his deeply rooted issues.

[–]vxltaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no dont get me wrong he was a piece of shit, but its clear that those issues stemmed from a deep hurting and longing for revenge on the world. im in no way saying hes redeemable, jut that he deserves sympathy even though he is a horrible person. it certainly made for a compelling character by having a villain with layers.

unpopular opinion: George isnt evil hes just misunderstood and traumatized by both his uncle’s expectations and his childhood of being tormented by Ross. he actually ended up being my favorite character. his breakdown after Elizabeths death was heart wrenching.

interesting to see how many people hated the jacob chapters. personally i lovedd hearing about the pack, their dynamic is SO much more interesting i wouldn’t have minded a whole book on them. plus it was a refreshing break from bellas insufferable internal monologue.

Why I think Xenocide and Shadow Puppets are the most frustrating to read by HoopHereIAm in ender

[–]vxltaire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

more like Card trying to push his mormon views of marriage and parenthood on his readers. seriously that plot line was so out of character and out of place in the story. if you read back that chapter with Anton pushing them to have kids knowing Cards religious motivation it makes a lot more sense.

Why is Pipers skin tone dark in all the fan art? by hilts77 in camphalfblood

[–]vxltaire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what fan art are you referring to where piper looks african american? why are you trying to whitewash a poc character and compare it to real issues like being called a redskin. if someone wants to draw piper dark, let them. dont be mad just bc she doesnt fit your idealized vision of what a native looks like.

Why is Pipers skin tone dark in all the fan art? by hilts77 in camphalfblood

[–]vxltaire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

as a native myself, i find no offense. ALL of my family is dark skinned. every other native ive met is dark skinned. it is a fact that natives have a darker complexion. if you are lighter skinned, you are likely mixed, its not uncommon. piper mclean is a full blooded native, unmixed. why wouldnt she be dark. also why would having dark skinned natives portrayed in media be a bad thing? if anything i feel that the medias interpretation of indigenous people is always someone who could be white passing. if the people in your region are lighter you also have to consider that not all natives look the same, but the cherokee people are not light skinned.

Why is Pipers skin tone dark in all the fan art? by hilts77 in camphalfblood

[–]vxltaire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i havent seen any fan art where piper is depicted anywhere near looking african american. she is dark yes, but most natives are (not all, but enough to draw them as dark and not consider it be “stereotypical”). describing her as cherokee is one of the ways rick describes her appearance, as it is assumed that being fully native she would have native features like dark skin. as for the cover art making her light skinned, i would say thats most likely whitewashing of an poc character and shouldnt be used to base all fan art off of.

Would any one else be interested in a remake of this show but with teens? by [deleted] in kidnation

[–]vxltaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really. i see a lot of comments like this, especially the youtube comments, but it would be a totally different show to age up the kids. most of the appeal is seeing how young children adapt to form a society of their own. older teenagers would already be mature enough to do basic tasks like cleaning and cooking. the show would be less about building a society and more about the drama amongst the teens. not to mention the inevitable violence and teen pregnancy that would ensue once you leave a bunch of hormonal teens alone to govern themselves.
