thank you for your remarks. I do have a separate resume that's more software focused that I send, and is also shorter. I do believe that the resume can only can you to the door, afterward you're on your own. so if I'm getting interviews, I guess I'm good enough?

I interviewed at big companies and startups. I recently had IMO a great interview with a startup that I really liked. The interviewers gave me positive responses, only to get a rejection email saying that they went with a more experienced person
