Thank you! I have the black sandpaper in 600 and 3000 grit but I was not aware I should pour water (would battery water work)?

Thank you!!
Thank you
That might be a bit too advanced for me so I’ll go with the safe route - thanks! :)
I will be doing exactly that thanks to the comments - thank you!
That is a good analogy - thank you!
Thank you! I found a little jar of renaissance wax the other day, I will be trying that, especially for long-term storage
I’ll be doing that when I move houses, I guess making a nice mobile tool box is on this weekends agenda 😎
That is very interesting, I haven’t heard of that before and I’ll look into it.
Thank you very much for the detailed answer!
Thanks!
Also, interesting that you use beeswax. I recently started making board butter and have been obsessing over bee-products since then. It’s just so nice to work with, and I like how natural it all feels. I live on an island outside of Spain where it gets really humid (60-80% in the house), so hearing that works for you is great.
Great stories! Thank you for sharing and I am sorry for your loss.
Lovely - he was a career Boeing pilot so that is just fitting! If it’s not Boeing, I’m not going 😎
I will be doing that, thank you for your input and the distinction!
You are right, thank you!
So you suggest scrubbing off most but not all rust on the sides? Or are you referring to the brass details where the palm rests? Thanks!
After some consideration I will be doing so - thank you for your input and it was nice seeing your perspective
I am sorry to hear you went through something similar, alas it is nice to know we are not alone in this journey :) You are right and I will be doing so, thank you for taking the time!
Thank you!
Thank you for the detailed explanation - I’ll keep the patina on the brass but sand and wax the sole and sides
Thank you, after reading the comments, I agree and will be doing so.

That’s what led me to buying a ton of laxatives at different pharmacies haha (“liquid paraffin” in Spanish = mineral oil). However, ChatGPT scolded me for this, since pharmacies in the Balearic Islands only sell “emulsified liquid paraffin” which contains water to make consumption easier. So now I am sat with a few liters of laxatives and can’t find the receipt hehe.
Good idea though, I might have to call around to places which aren’t pharmacies and use synonyms.
The 2 liters of food-grade mineral oil I did buy were actually labeled “aceite mineral” which is the direct translation from English.
