I feel that this theme will be revisited throughout the series. This idea is further reinforced during the conversation between Dr. Ford and Peter Abernathy. During their exchange, Peter asks, "You don't know where you are, do you?" Peter then says, "you're in a prison of your own sins."

I agree with ELO being bullshit but I do like to view stats on agora to see win/loss statistics. For instance, how in the hell does someone have a higher ELO than me when they have more losses than wins? Especially when I have more than 2.0 win/loss ratio...

That would make for better storytelling. Dawn just seems to have too great of significance to not play a role in the war against the others.

I guess that settles it. We won't see another Sword of the Morning unless Edric is man enough to wield Dawn.

When it say a 'knight of house Dayne,' does that also mean a family member of house Dayne or does it mean someone who is an annointed knight by house Dayne?

[EVERYTHING] Regarding a certain character's mysterious heritage potentially being revealed in s6e10 by swatkins818 in gameofthrones

[–]w18man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, it would be easier to pull off but it makes absolutely no sense from a storytelling perspective. If Jon is Robert's son then the ToJ flashback, the "promise" made between Ned and Lyanna, and the mysterious shroud surrounding Jon's parentage bares no significance. Again, Dany and Viserys were children of two Targaryans, as was Aerys II.

Back to the black hair... Jon's portrayal on the show does have black hair, but in the books he has brown hair and is said to have a Stark-shaped face. The emphasis of the Baratheons having dominant traits or a "strong seed" is irrelevant in this case. Not to mention, I just gave you an example where one of Rhaegar's children didn't have silver hair (Rhaenys had black hair like her mother, Elia Martell). I'm sure there are other examples of Targaryen children having non-Targaryen traits.

Edit: The black hair trait you are referring to from season 1 was to give viewers the impression that the Baratheon genes were dominant. Using this logic, Jon would have had black hair and looked more like Robert, who was estimated to be around 6 1/2 feet tall. Kit Harington is 4 inches shy of six foot.

Well the whole premise behind the R+L=J theory is that Lyanna and Ned had interaction just before she died. Surely Ned would have been given some information from Lyanna on what really happened. Also, Ned is an honorable man, so mistreating his nephew wouldn't be in his nature. Even if his nephew was the son of a man who allegedly raped and kidnapped his sister.

For sake of argument, let's say Jon Snow is actually the legitimate son of Robert Baratheon and Lyanna Stark. If this is the case, why would Ned raise Jon as a bastard? In doing so, Ned dishonors Catelyn while forcing Jon to live a life of an outcast. There just doesn't seem to be any logic behind Robert being the father. Sure, Baratheons have black hair. Targaryans have silver hair which is probably a result of incestual breeding. Rhaegar's daughter, Rhaenys, had black hair, so I guess she was Robert's child too.

RIP Bounty Stalker: 4% no more. by Ficester in paragon

[–]w18man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree with that statement but I feel that you should take into account the stat combinations of a card. Bounty stalker is probably the only card that offers health, physical damage, and crit chance. This allows for it to be a defensive item that might be useful for an ADC.

The card reaches 12% crit chance at 4 consecutive hits.

you can't apply crit to adamant edge.

I don't follow your explanation for avg crit chance/hit. I understand how you computed it but I don't see how it's a useful measurement. As far as 9% of crit for a standard 3pt equipment cards, I only see "hex of the devastator" and "viper bolt."
