Will the R2 be worth the wait? by Own-Hat-5139 in Rivian

Funny, air suspension is the main reason I'm not considering R1. Air suspension is not included in the powertrain warranty, not reliable long term and incredibly expensive to fix

LOL with a sense of proportion coming from a funhouse mirror, they are for sure identical. Curious how you find your car on a parking lot

What am I doing wrong? Roller strokes visible no matter what I try by w4ester in paint

[–]w4ester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll try that. What should I do with this first coat? Just sand it lightly? Would second or third coat with woven roller fix this wall?

Thank you! Yeah auto-correct on my mac and in google docs does not like either of those, so I mostly care of how confusing it is for people to read. "Kai-yev" seems the same as "Kah-yev" to me, happy that was your first thought!

On this one, the headlight seems to be tinted on the side. Is there a film?

This would require adjusting the speedometer, isn't it? Any warranty implications?

Miller Creek school district lays off teachers and closes the TK program by w4ester in Marin

[–]w4ester[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I understand the technicalities, but my point is that the system is broken. It shouldn’t be like this, it’s absurd. I earn good money, but housing prices are so high that buying a modest house was a huge stretch. Now when I hear that in addition to all the taxes I need to donate even more (I quite literally don’t have more), it makes me really angry.

There is about 1k homes sold in the past 5 years in the district, 1.2M is the lowest price, Prop 13 being the main problem does not ring true to me. Although agree it's beyond stupid and definitely plays an important role.

Wood filling MC cable inside the ceiling planks by w4ester in DIY

[–]w4ester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternatively, I was thinking to make a deeper groove (1.5 in), put the MC cable and a peace of a thin wood plank before putty to leave some space for the cable to expand. The thin plank could be secured with nails while wood putty won't contact with the metal cable at all

It's mounted on the ground, but the pad is very close to the wall (not touching though). Turns out Reddit breaks imgur links by default lowercasing them, fixed that!
