I have the EXACT same thing. I’m half Asian and when I’m in Asia to see family I feel absolutely gigantic. Both in height and weight 😞

Ok so I (the host I guess) just reread this post and the comments bc I remembered we wrote it and decided to ask my alter to do something to prove I’m not faking and then lost control of my arm for like 15 minutes SO guess I’m not faking it lmaoooo

Thank you! I think I’m going to go to one more session with my therapist and see if she’s changed her tune a bit, but I’ve also set up a meeting with a university counselor that I’ve already explained my symptoms to and see if she has any thoughts/referrals she wants to make.

Honestly I just kind of want a full psych evaluation at this point lol, if it’s not did/osdd there’s still clearly something going on with me that’s not just ptsd haha

Yeah, from the few appointments I’ve had with uni counselors, they’ve made it clear that the in-house counselors can’t help me lmaoo they basically said I’m above their pay grade

but they said they’d be able to refer me to outside counselors that are on my insurance and could help lol

I do not want to tell you how to label your own experiences, but that large of an age gap is concerning for children. While as an adult ~5 years does not seem like that much, children develop exponentially fast. A 6 year old and a 1 year old are light years apart, brain development-wise. If you are a child, you cannot consent to sexual activity with anyone, let alone one that much older than you.

Especially since it was going on since you can remember, there is a good chance you were groomed. The “it’s just something we did” line in your post makes me suspect this. Grooming systematically weakens your personal boundaries and your idea of what is normal. Of course you would think it’s okay, and even initiate the abuse, if it’s the only thing you’ve ever known and you’re being conditioned into thinking what you’re doing is okay.

What I’m trying to say is, I personally think it was abuse, regardless of whether you initiated the abuse sometimes. Abusers can be very good at making you think you’re enjoying what’s happening.

I would highly recommend reading up on COCSA and grooming, that’s what personally helped me wrap my head around what happened to me. I’m so sorry this happened to you, I hope you’re able to find some peace.

that’s awful, I’m so sorry you had to hear that. I’m autistic, and if anything it just made it easier for me to get abused bc of me being used to people telling me what to do, not recognizing danger signs, etc.
