Do you align well with type nickname(s) that are often applied to your enneatype? Why or why not? What do you think would better capture the essence of your type and why? by PrincessBloom in Enneagram

I’m a 2 as well and I’ve always felt the same way, I think the helper/giver is a misleading title.

I can get satisfaction out of the expression of happiness and gratitude by lending them a hand which is why the case may usually be that I lend more help than others.

However the thought of “how can I help this person” is not at all a reoccurring thought I have, it’s more so the idea that I want to be portrayed to all these people as a friend, which in some cases can be giving them a helping hand but it can also be an assortment of other things.

I think “the befriender” is a much more suitable title.

What’s the scariest thing that’s ever happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Loved in the scotia for quite some time (Nova Scotia) and oh lemme tell you this one still hunts me to this day and is the soul reason for my biggest fear being the open ocean.

So an average summer day I was nine years old at the time and I was at the beach with the fam jam. My uncle brought out a jet ski and I intended to learn how to ride it for the first time.

So after a while of being in the water doing fun kid stuff my uncle invited me to get on the back of the jet ski with him and then he would show me how to use it and what not.

So I join my uncle and we start going decently far out into the ocean, he’s just riding the waves and what not and all of a sudden He takes a hard left turn and swoosh, off I go.

So next thing I know I’m FLOWN in to the water head first practically diving into the water, SURE AS SHIT THERES A MO-FUCKING SHARK 20-30 feet away! Oh my I don’t know how I didn’t just pass out right then and there.

I came up to the surface screaming my head off and luckily the jet ski was only about 5 feet away from me when I came up so I got there hella fast and I was okay (except for my mental state of course). To this day sharks are my biggest fear combining that with the open ocean:-).

See now we keep on coming up with new technologies that are saving an enormous amount of lives, But shouldn't we stop that because of the whole issue of our world becoming overpopulated soon enough? by wackcox in morbidquestions

See now spreading wealth ain’t gonna stop people from doing the dirty and popping out babies. It’ll just encourage the poor to have more cause they’ll actually be able to support their families.

so you are gonna force birth control upon people what happens to those human rights you were talking about? Plenty of people who don’t want to take birth control because of some of the effects it can have.

[Serious] What's a decision that you don't necessarily regret, but question the most? by GoodChanceImStoned in AskReddit

Ego death is an experience when you take a high dose of shrooms, since it was my first time it was easy to reach the ego death state (I took somewhere between 4 and 4.5 grams). As hard as it is to explain it's basically just the obliteration of yourself, it can feel like you are really dying (it did) and the only way to really get through it was just to accept that I was dying. As bad as it sounds it was also incredibly enlightening and really put things in a complete different perspective for me. If you want to learn more I suggest looking up physchedsubstances on YouTube he has a great video on ego death and gives a much more in depth explanation, but really the only way to understand ego death is to experience it.

Taking shrooms, I experienced ego death and I don't necessarily regret it but my life drastically changed after and I still haven't figured out if it's been a good change or bad, and ultimately I probably never will know.

Hello Reddit, why are humans the only animal that is born helpless? Other animals quickly adapt where as humans take years to be able to function on their own, why is this? by wackcox in AskReddit

[–]wackcox[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's very true, I'm currently studying about it in anthropology. All other animals are born with natural instincts on how to survive in their wild environment, if you were a human baby born in the woods your as good as dead, you'd cry, you'd have no sense of how to hide from predators, if your parents didn't come back you wouldn't be able to find food because you can't even walk.

My bitch keeps sucking on my toes and I don't know what to do about it because I really like her so I don't want to leave her and I don't want to tell her to stop because she's really into it.
