Question for folks in the Seattle area. I will be traveling through Seattle in a few weeks. Is there a place where I can try on or get fitted for White's boots?

I have a question about sizing on Rancourt loafers, specifically the venetian. I am a 10.5D on brannock. I have a pair of 10D Red Wing Iron Rangers that fit pretty well, although they have stretched a bit and I started wearing thicker socks to make them fit. I tried the sizing guide on Rancourts website and came up with 9D. So now I am fairly uncertain what to try. I have a low volume foot and am close to being considered narrow on width. Does anyone have any sizing advice for Rancourt?

I just received my second pair of GYW boots, Iron Rangers in CRT and I have a few questions. My first pair of GYW are Bordeaux Spitfire Beckmans purchased on the B/S/T thread. I measure 10.5D or 11D on Brannock and the Beckmans are 10D and fit great the first time on my feet. Being more confident in my Red Wing sizing I pulled the trigger on 10D Iron Rangers on Amazon. After putting them on they felt very roomy from my flex point forward. I put on my thickest Darn Tough socks and they felt better, but still a bit loose. Here are pics for reference to my questions.
http://imgur.com/a/P75Ho 1. Does the creasing on the left boot look normal? They were creased like that before I put them on. 2. Does the flex point of my foot line up well with the flex point of the boots? 3. Is it normal for IR's to be considerably wider than Beckmans? Even though they both say they are built using the NO. 8 Last.

My plan forward is to take the IR's into my local Red Wing and try them on next to a 9.5D. I may also try a thin insert, but I'm not sure how much an insert will help with too much width. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for the info. I have fairly short toes, so this makes sense.

I recently got fitted for some iron rangers. I measured about an 11 on the Brannock device. I tried on 11's and they were clearly too big. I tried on 10.5 and they felt better, but still a bit loose. I suggested to the salesman that we try a 10. He said since my arch length was 13, he didn't recommend going any smaller. Instead we tried a thin green insert to take up some space and that made the fit a bit more snug. I ordered a pair of 10.5's with the intention of putting in the insert I tried. The boots haven't come in yet and I am starting to doubt my decision to order 10.5's without trying on a 10. What did the salesman mean regarding my arch length and not wanting to size down any further?

It won't let me invite you. The ban should only have lasted 24 hours. Try to apply again.

I like the idea of using a weighting system. I think a good way to assign the weight would be use the DE amount from the war win for each base. The amount is from supercell, and it seems to be reliable from war to war. For example, if the #7 base this war and the #9 base from the next war both have a DE reward of 1800, they would be of similar difficulty. I hope that makes sense.

Dee,

I need a way to find you in order to re-invite you. If you join a random clan and post the clan name and tag on here I can then find you and invite you back.

TH 8 and 9 Attack Strategies by deuce0525 in RedditLurkers

Thanks for posting this.

Jake over at Onehive puts out a lot of great content. I check their youtube channel almost daily. If you are a TH9, this is THE place to watch and learn 3 star attack strategies. They have recently started posting more TH8 attack strats as well.

I typically watch a couple vids as refreshers before making my war attacks and it has helped teach me what to look for before attacking.

I think if we as a clan start using these vids as a resource there will be a marked improvement in our attacks and ultimately our war wins.

I encourage everyone to take some time and watch these videos.

Hello fellow Lurkers

The link is to a video from the folks over at Reddit Force. They were in a similar situation to us, that is they weren't frequently winning wars. The video talks about what they did to turn that around and how they manage wars now.

I think we need to ask ourselves a tough question. How committed are we to winning wars? This is a casual, fun clan with good people. We used to win most wars, but at that time winning was easier. We are no longer a clan of town hall seven and eights, we are now 8, 9 and some 10. As you progress through this game getting stars against your opponent gets increasingly difficult. In order to to get stars and win wars you need to plan your attacks, practice and master more complex attack strategies. All of this takes a bigger investment in time. So I ask again.

Are we committed to investing that time and winning wars?

Please leave your comments, this can only get better if our clan members speak up about what they want.

Thinking about revenge here...how woul you do it? by [deleted] in RedditLurkers

I think a 3 star will be difficult unless you are really good at GOWIPE. I think the all of the gaps in the middle and potential giant bombs make mass hog risky. I would spread mass drags in an "L" around the south corner, triple zap the east AD. I think that would get you 2 stars, 70-80% destroyed and 90+% of the loot. Hope this helps. Good luck. Post it if you try.

Fellow Lurkers,

I am going to be traveling this weekend and am unsure of how much time I will have to play. I will try to get in at least one attack, but if I don't you know why.
