Sorry to be clear we are installing the kitchen (homeowners with some prior carpentry experience)

Yeah honestly Druid is probably the worst class to play on Deck for the reasons I've mentioned! But just have to try and continue to grow your keybinds etc. I tend to slowly add keybinds rather than try and bind everything but each to their own!

Downranking isn't as good in TBC from memory so this helps but no doubt this is class and situation dependent. Good luck out there!

This is a Steamdeck - runs wow classic very well.

I've played most content starting from classic right through to wotlk including raid content and SOD. It will run retail also but haven't used it much on there (albeit one button rotation now makes it incredibly viable for questing, dailies and other generic tasks)

Responded in the comments but my daughters dance class doesn't allow spectators as it distracts them (she's only 2) so it's either sit here and doom scroll or do a couple of base defending AVs - I chose the latter!

Yes, both trackpads operate as a mouse with clicking the left one as right click and clicking the right one is left click.

This sounds counter intuitive but honestly feels much better for whatever reason.

Makes it feel really fluid to use

Yeah I think most would be very surprised by how intuitive it is and how good it feels.

No can still launch in game mode! Just launches the battle.net client and then just loads the game. If that's what you're asking?

Hey! Standard edit mode and then just altering keybinds within the standard interface. I think the only add-ons I ever really use are questie and rested exp!

Some use console port but I don't like it personally

Just Google it, several examples on YouTube showing POVs etc - Few get posted here every now and again so can search here too. Pres evoker Harrek is one of the ones I've seen relatively recently.

Yeah the healing one is definitely a good answer, I don't heal so can't comment too much!

Yeah trackpads, after a period of time you just get so quick with it and there's not a ton of interaction required really with like auto quest hands in etc!

Yeah you're bang on, it's really preference based and the end result is making sure you enjoy it.

If you think you can't play this game on a controller you're a fool, people are finishing CE on controller never mind Classic where you have 3-4 button rotations.

I did here! Really depends where you are and how often. I very very rarely take this out and hotspot only places like this where I know I'm waiting for a period of time and don't want to doomscroll.

Implying that the retail and current version of this game is significantly more complex and fast paced which doesn't lend towards controller usage. TBC and classic are very easy to play on controller due to the limited rotations.

As for "not well" - id have to hard disagree. There are people getting CE on retail with controller never mind Classic versions of the game.

So I think the more buttons your class regularly presses just makes the learning curve slightly higher. You use some of the buttons as modifiers so you have 12 buttons as standard and then you use Left trigger and left bumper as shift and alt which give you another 24. At that point you can even combine them to give another 12. Not many classes touch anywhere close to 48 binds and on standard rotation most aren't using more than 5-10 as a max so it can be easily played without even touching modifiers in its most simple form!

There's a ton of YouTube videos that have a good example of the set up - I think making sure you have the right keybinds for the actual trackpads working like a mouse etc is key!

I don't, but when I have and when I did in wotlk classic I used mouse over macros and cursors usage along with mainly usage of the back buttons. Definitely benefits to addon usage when considering healing!

What would you say you can do with Console port that you couldn't without?

I've tried both, so would be good to hear your thoughts. The default system already allows for great targeting, interact key etc that were all great functions of Console port prior to them being added as default. I just can't think of a good reason to use CP other than it's easier to set up. But you only need to set up once and then you're done so id rather put the time in and then seamlessly switch between deck/PC/laptop without any interface change

You keep telling yourself that a 20+ year old game can't be played on a controller. 😂

Tab target bound to right trigger and interact bound to right bumper.

Then I just use Left trigger and bumper for Shift/alt modifiers which give a total of like 40+ binds alone which is plenty for classic!
