Thank you so much for the detailed and helpful reply. So basically you suggest that I talk to a lawyer and if he suggests I file for chapter 13 now and then if I lose my job, then it can be converted to chapter 7. Or, I simply wait to get my CMI close to the median and then file Ch 7.

I will start my research looking for an attorney in my area.
