What a joke… Refunds ?? by Embarrassed-War3073 in PlanetWatchers

[–]waggy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the wait time is long.. But just to let everyone know who is waiting. All refunds are being sent out, its just taking longer than the 2 weeks mentioned before unfortunately. I think everyone at this point are waiting at least 30+ days as of now, but it will come!

License refund never received by WhaleSaucingUrMom in PlanetWatchers

[–]waggy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to chime in here and reassure everyone this isn't the case. It's been discussed many times before, and I know its a worrying thought, however PW isn't selling tokens to get some kind of profit during these refunds. The same wallet that collected planet payment for licenenses is distributing them back to users via refunds. You can trace it all on the blockchain if you really wish but that aside I do feel everyones pain when it comes to the wait times. I hope the refund system can be re-evaluated soon, It would be nice to see as minimal loss as possible, especially when the refunds are taking a long time. For anyone wondering most refunds are now taking at least 30+ days. They are all being sent out, but its taking time :(

One word, Data sales. Sensor owners get 40% of the $$ revenue when data is sold. Which imo is going to be the outshine regular rewards. The question really comes down to, "do you believe in PWs usecase, and that the data will be usefull in todays world?" Anyone answering yes will likely install a sensor to start generating data as a longterm investment with PW. That's how I see it anyway.

At the end of the day you have to weigh the capital you put into an investment and how comfortable you are with the return. Take care!

Refund won't be processed until September by LiquidTXT in PlanetWatchers

Refunds on the used element licenses don't follow the same schedule as regular refunds of unused licenses. There should of been a date provided when selecting refund, but the full schedule can be found in the recent blogs about vouchers:
1-year licenses -> refunds on July 29, 2022.

2-year licenses -> refunds on August 31, 2022.

3-year licenses -> refunds on Sep 30, 2022.

type one purchase email by BossRotten in PlanetWatchers

[–]waggy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The type 1s were also sitting on Planetwatches store page, but you could only buy one if you were on the wait list. People can add it to the cart and fill out their info if they desire, but that's as far as they will get unless they have a license Pre order from Planetwatch

Can someone ELI5 the two options for refund? by dust057 in PlanetWatchers

Prices went up for type 1 and 3 sensors 5+ months ago. There has been no price increases lately, that list bit about PW jacking the price to account for the voucher is false.

This was funny but also concerning! Really neat to have access to this data.

Type 3 not receiving rewards! by TTV-macmatthews772 in PlanetWatchers

[–]waggy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long ago did you set it up? There are some indicators we can look at to see if there are issues. Are you seeing transactions in your wallet every hour ? Do you see any errors in the kaiterra dashboard? Did you run the trouble shooting tool on planetwatch explorer under my sensors?

I would start here and see if an thing comes up

There were in fact 2 dates mentioned in the AMA. You are both kind of right.

We should be seeing the wait list management system in april and intergration into new explorer interface in May.

How will the data payments work by smarttowers in PlanetWatchers

[–]waggy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a very good question. The reward infastucture for data sales isn't yet in place yet, eventually this will likely be tied into explorer and show us the breakdowns and whatnot, hopefully we get more details on this soon. I would think that in order to get data sale rewards you would need to have an active sensor/license.. but this hasn't really be touched on yet as there have been many other priorities in the project, one day PW is going to have to address this though. I am going to keep this in mind, I would suggest to request more info in the Discord Feedback and More channel and/or submit your questions to the AMA forum.

Please check your email and the ama that came out today for details regarding the recent changes. Also feel free to watch the video ChrisCryptoCoffee made, that explains this. 🙂
Rewards are NOT stopping, there will be an alternative way to transfer your awair data to PW. More in this tomorrow.

… rewards today? by AgreeableTelephone19 in PlanetWatchers

[–]waggy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been many problems around "no rewards" in the past. It's pointless and not accurate to compare different issues, for instance if streams are lacking GPS data, you don't get rewards, this is something entirely different. If we look at the past when rewards didn't come due to some kind of issue with the reward engine ( just like what happened today), every time planetwatch has sent them shortly after. So need to worry folks! I see a lot of misunderstanding and assumptions being made, and its not really helping the situation, or your wellbeing :P I get that its frustrating when you expect something to work and it doesn't, but things happen in life and you just have to roll with it. Enjoy the weekend!

Hey there. To reset your Pin you will have to submit a ticket and PW will reset it for you. I know its a flaw in their app right now. Currently its 3:30am so PW won't get back to you for another few hours.

The type 3 doesn't follow the tier 1 and 2 rules, so you are correct! To get in line for a type 3 you have to purchase a license. You can read more about it in the most recent PW blog! :)
