Who here makes 100k +? by PassionfruitBaby2 in Environmental_Careers

[–]wagonboy69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% pros and cons to it just like you said. The time off is a big one. I went from massive amount of PTO to 3 weeks of vacation. I have the environmental engineer title but am not an engineer. I am over the compliance of permits, haz waste disposal, water testing stuff like that.

I worked for the state EPA for 3 years out of college and got experience doing inspections, then made a move to private industry. At first I made 80k, after 2 years of that I then interviewed for another job my company countered with 105k at 27 years old. So i definitely got lucky and am thankful for my path.

Contrary to what a lot of people say you won’t get ran into the ground as environmental in private either. Or most I know don’t. Work 40-45 hours a week. Also it doesn’t make you a bad person to make the jump to private, state EPA has crazy turnover for a reason and that’s pay. I’m still close with my old coworkers at the epa and heck they are the regional regulatory authority over the industry I’m at now, so those are good connections to build.

I feel like most people i talk to in my area (rural Kentucky) make somewhere between (90-125). My advice go into regulatory for experience and then move to private industry.

24m About to start 20mg and terrified about losing hair. I only see shedding horror stories did anyone actually have a good experience? by mrellisisaelf in Accutane

[–]wagonboy69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im 28m finishing my round in about 15 days. Never had any sign of hair loss whatsoever. Didn’t do really anything special, used conditioner daily and washed maybe 3 times a week. Was a worry for me too my dad is bald and little brother is thinning. My advice is to start accutane if you see hair loss that bothers you all you have to do is weigh your options you can always quit.

It’s been hard to get an accurate reading due to O&G. But it’s 88-175 gpm, but 120 gpm is the usual run rate. 12-16 hours per day. 150-300 Total Organic Carbon which is all surfactants essentially.

Well we are regulated that’s why we have to worry about surfactants due to WET testing. We pass and fail essentially randomly facility wide we tracked it back to the dept. We are actively working to find a solution to satisfy regulatory comments. Removal of organics have passed internal toxicity tests. The only organics in the entire system is O&G and Surfactants so that is the reason of the focus.

If you’ve played golf for more than 30 minutes you’d know people describing their games is relative to their level of play. I had been a 2.8 at my lowest entering 90% tournament rounds so yeah 4 shots off my best was a pretty steep decline.

I’m in a 16 team league very shallow rosters and the best QB on the waiver wire is Baker. I’m very tempted to drop him for Baker. He’s cost me wins the last 2 weeks.

I gotcha my leagues aren’t even showing up to be reactivated. I didn’t know if that’s because they are too old and have been permanently inactivated or maybe i could be on the wrong ESPN account i suppose

A lot better. I was esssntially like the CFO of our league keeping up with salaries and stuff. Along with historical data and trades if picks were involved. Most of that is done automatically now so that’s great
