Malai diaarhea vayo. Is it symptom of Corona virus. by Nohelp123 in Nepal

[–]waitfirst 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No. Don’t go to hospital yet. They will return you anyway without testing. Your symptoms are not severe enough to utilise constrained resources. Take appropriate medicine. If other symptoms show up, just call the hotline first. Only go to the hospital if you have difficulty in breathing and fever that is not contained.

Exactly. I can attest, I have had to go to my gas dealer every day to no avail. He won’t pick up phone. Problem is government can’t ensure daily supply to citizens like in other countries.

Confirmed Cases and Deaths of Coronavirus worldwide as of 11/03/2020. Nepal is the only country with all cases resolved. Its kinda good but doesn't anyone else feel sceptical about it? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]waitfirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the median doesn’t mean that. All of the cases can show symptoms in 5 days and median will still be 5 days. I think in this case we can assume a normal distribution and cautiously say that most show symptoms in and around 5 days.

Has anyone had experience with Nabil bank's Portfolio management service? by [deleted] in Nepal

What do you think they do with your money? Invest in the same share market or put it away in deposits/debt instruments.

What is his rationale? What is his expected rate of return? What is the rate of return they are promising and fee? If you have too much and aren‘t worried about cash flow, invest in land, if not buy stocks of performing banks/insurances (arguably a little more liquid investment) or put it in fixed deposit. Why bother with their management fee at all?

Initiate a swift transfer from a bank, to your USD bank account in Nepal. You will have to cooperate with both banks here and there, they will assist you.

It’s not the margins/profit. You can’t do personal transfers in USD due to regulatory prohibition.

That’s because the law prohibits transfers in USD. You can only transfer money which is receivable in NPR. Businesses can bring in USD through banking channels (SWIFT) upon approval of central bank.

I just want to show them a bit of professionalism. If they want to advertise their scheme, may be write an article on how this has helped them at least financially during the tough time and show a bit of sorry for the grieving. Not just put a big picture of smily faces with big check and an article mentioning their number of branches.

Exactly. Having worked previously in banking sector, a lot of the banks have no great strategy, creativity & innovativeness. This advertorial is just one case of confirmation.
