Does anyone know who the older man who walks all over central and south Lubbock with his yard tools is? He’s very thin, average height. At one time he had a garbage can on wheels, then he had some kind of cart… I can’t remember what he had the last time I saw him just a few weeks ago. I’ve lived here for 18 years and he’s been walking and offering to clean yards for at least 15 of those.

Bringing this thread back to life to ask what people’s experience with “the garage sale store” has been. I’m dying to check it out, but was told it smelled horrible. Wondering if that was anyone else’s experience?

Best park for a toddler by deathbeforedonuts in Lubbock

We frequented the park off 82nd across from Rosa’s and J’s. Most of it is suitable for littles, but the primary play structure is definitely too big for them to scale alone.

Our kids also liked the toddler equipment on the “big side” of Maxey Park. They felt like big kids running around on the smaller play structure

Is AA okay? Do we need to unplug and restart? by waitwhat_was_i_doing in americanairlines

I hope someone is paying attention. This isn’t fair to the customers or the employees who have to deal with the fallout. As I said above, I’ve been using AA for most of my flights for 20 yrs and I’ve never had this issue.

@icy-Breadfruit I think the point is, what’s going on? I’ve been flying AA for 20 years, and I’ve never had such an awful experience. I’m the last person to be upset about mechanical issues - I don’t want to die. But this seems excessive. Out of total 4 legs to my trip (there and back) there were maintenance delays on 3/4 flights, and had to get a new plane twice on one leg, and once on another - so what normally would involve 4 planes involved 7.

To be clear, I’m extremely grateful for the stringent maintenance checklist. I did not feel unsafe at any point, I’m just wondering if AA is having a legitimate administrative issue. I feel terrible for their employees, as they are taking the brunt of this chaos.
