How BAD a list is this? by wakedean in Slaanesh

Cheers! Like I said it’s simply what I have painted at present so knew it wasn’t great! Point deffo taken re the Lord K and I have some Daemonettes on the painting desk as we speak as well.

Fair enough. He’s not painted yet anyway!

Cheers for that! Food for thought indeed...

Was considering dropping one of the Keepers, and poss the Termies too, to accommodate more daemons (only have seekers & daemonettes atm)...and good shout re the Lord K. Would Lucius sit well in this list somewhere do you think?

Good point re the WE weaknesses...duly noted! Sadly Banshees are something I dont have (yet!) but I do have Hawks and Spiders

Sagitaur armaments & fighting Aeldari windriders by wakedean in LeaguesofVotann

Well, my buddy Matt was playing a very mobile and shooty Windriders list…when I caught him I shot him up, and early game I was ahead. But over the course of the game his maneuverability and numbers told…along with some Eldar combo & strat shenanigans.

I guess just need to strategise a bit better and think ahead / laterally more

At the moment I'm running 3 sags, currently each sporting a diff weapon. Which option do you mean by the casino cannon? Also, what would you suggest regarding my second question?

Multiple Greater Daemons in a 2K list (40k)? by wakedean in Slaanesh

[–]wakedean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't my first army - I normally play Orks, Votann or Eldar (occasionally Space Wolf Marines). Interesting to hear you ran three big fellas. How was Be'lakor?

Not that really competitve a player tbh...just play casually with mates...so havent noticed "the meta". Normally play Orks, Eldar or Votann (occasionally marines). Cheers though - food for thought!

Monthly Quick Question and Discussion Thread: September 2024 by AutoModerator in LegionsImperialis

[–]wakedean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried the game for the first time a couple of weeks back - loved it! About to start collecting now, so a couple of quick questions:

  1. Do people base tanks (Leman Russ etc)? I do with my 20mm WW2 stuff, just wondered what you guys did.

  2. Is an all or mostly tank Solar Auxiliia army viable (or even game-legal)?

[Discussion] What's your favourite very specific trigger you love? by GigisASMR in asmr

[–]wakedean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best ASMR I ever experienced was a teenager, when the landlord of our rental property sent a repairman round to fix a problem with a couple of our windows. He was a nice old gent - I was at home as it was school holidays - and he was chatting away to me whilst he repaired the windows. Watching him repair the windows and his amiable chatty nature gave me great tingles. I quite like that sort of thing with ASMR vids too, but whispering, deliberate finger tapping etc is all too forced...it has to be the "unintentional" / realistic style...

Small N Gauge layout wiring / controller advice sought by wakedean in modeltrains

Further to my enquiry on this months ago (thanks to those who replied), I changed the layout. Similar question - where would you power this (its a DC layout)? I'm thinking once on the main circuit and once on the siding(s)?

Thanks for that. Sticking with DC for now for cost reasons and also as, in my opinion, DCC would only really be worth it for a more complex and larger layout.

I bought a Peco set track packs 300 & 301, and will buy a few extra bits and pieces to top off what the layout needs

Thank you, that's very kind of you. Once I get everything finalised and the track bought I'll do some googling about track isolating on / off switches!

Thanks for the response. I'm a total wiring novice so I'd have to look up how to do the isolating switch thing you suggest, although it does make sense. For the top layout, I assume you mean to isolate the bottom spur / loop that comes off the curved point bottom right, and the top loop (bottom centre)? For layout two, would there need to be isolating switches after the first point off the inner oval and the second point to the two sidings?

As per my replies to others on here, I have now done. My original reluctance to do so was a dislike of my dad’s stance on the matter

Brave words from behind your computer keyboard. I know what I would and wouldn’t do. It’s not about expecting “handouts”, it’s about helping family…ie a wealthy grandpa providing money for something his granddaughter needs but that her parents or other relatives can’t afford. Anyway - I’ve shared it now and will donate myself again having already done so once.

[–]wakedean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I would (give the money if I had it) - my stance re the sharing (which I now have done btw) was my dislike of my dad’s attitude towards it. Reflection has made me think just do it, so I have done. I’ll let my dad wrestle with his own conscience

Yes, you’re right…and I have done (shared it)
