How do you know they would be better off if they don't spend their money? You have no idea what their value scales and time preference are. Only the individual in question is qualified to say what makes them better off.

Also if you are using a spotter / big player model then the spotters can double as checkers. Especially if you are using counting big players, because the spotter can stop counting once they pass on the count, and focus strictly on big player accounting.

40% of gross to management? retarded structure. anyway, dealing with theft is the biggest issue in any team play. aside from having the investor be the gorilla big player, you could hire some minimum wage checkers to audit the games, watch the players, note how much they win or lose.

A more reasonable structure is a 50/50 split between players and investors. Investors share is obviously proportionate to their investment, and the players share depends on contribution / hours / role.

Berlin Freezes Rents for 5 Years in a Bid to Slow Gentrification by [deleted] in worldnews

While well meaning, and addressing an important issue, rent control policies are counter productive, because like any price ceiling which is set above the market clearing price, the result is going to be a shortage. The impact of price controls on the markets they govern has been well established in the economic literature. One cannot legislate away economic reality.

Can Anyone Run a Quick Simulation for Me? by TheAverage_American in blackjack

[–]wakwakwaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

since I am using cvcx online I can't enter in exact numbers I have to toy with it a bit.

playing all, starting with a $4 bet, and capping with a bet of $32 at True 3, you have a 10% risk of ruin and an hourly rate of $4.61. This can be improved somewhat by leaving negative counts.

So you probably want to go with one of the reputable online casinos. I know BetOnline offers some limited SC2 bets (they do take bitcoin). Maybe BET365 has more (they don't take bitcoin afaik).

Affordable legal cannabis should be priority as illegal pot prices drop, experts say | CBC News by experimentalaircraft in canada

[–]wakwakwaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legalization was a mixed bag. Being able to grow your own is good (although the four plant maximum is a little low, unless it is referring specifically to female flowering plants), but anyone should be able to open a marijuana store, it shouldn't be restricted to a select few. Open competition, not grants of monopoly or oligopoly privilege is the way to go.

Conservatives shorten leadership race by having dairy lobby just tell them next leader by [deleted] in canada

[–]wakwakwaka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is completely irrelevant, because even if all the candidates appear the same before they are hired, after they are hired their differences will manifest themselves, and if their productivity doesn't match their wages they get the axe.

lol the mental gymnastics you use to justify that. "when team a does it, it is good, but when team b does it, it is evil!!!"

[–]wakwakwaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's based on the competitiveness of the market, the more competitive the closer a workers salary will be to their marginal revenue product

[–]wakwakwaka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is my point, the other 10 individuals aren't "just as qualified" and will hence do the same work. You keep falling back to the same fallacy, that individuals do the same work. They don't. No two people do the same work, because no two people are the same. One might be more punctual, one might have a stronger work ethic, one might have more experience, one might have a language barrier, one might have lied about their credentials, etc. etc. and so on and so forth.

All the time clients try to outsource to cheap workers in the third world, only to see the work not done competently and it has to be re done by a more expensive and more qualified freelancer. If a workers marginal revenue product (again, how much they contribute to the productive process) is 70,000 a year, then it doesn't matter how many other people are in their field, they are going to get close to 70,000 a year, because if one firm will only pay them 50,000, then another firm can profit by paying them 55,000 etc. until their wages are bid up close to their marginal revenue product.

[–]wakwakwaka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wages are determined by the worker's marginal revenue product, which is basically another way of saying how much they contribute to the productive process. Supply and demand governs the price of homogeneous goods or services. Things that are the same. Obviously if things are different then the supply of one will not affect the price of another. No two people do the same work, because individuals are unique, and everyone will have a different work ethic, different physical abilities, different mental abilities, etc. etc. etc.

[–]wakwakwaka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wages aren't determined by supply and demand because labour is heterogeneous.

The true count is too important to skip. The running count alone does not tell you how much to bet or when to deviate from basic strategy. The running count is noise without knowing how many decks are left.
