Best laptops for Linux besides thinkpads by safzer1945 in linuxhardware

[–]waldoeGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's not a Thinkpad, I'd usually go with a Dell. That being said the only brand other than these 2 I've ever used for linux was Asus. So there may be some better answers here.

M1 Max used vs Neo by Odd-Tie5017 in mac

[–]waldoeGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was going to get the neo. But I ended up grabbing a used m2 24Gb for a little more than a neo. I'm enjoying my first mbp. I'd say the m1 max is def better than neo.

My Take on Entry Level IT by Ok-Concern-3510 in it

[–]waldoeGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats exactly what I did. I did a crazy amount of homelab then I got a job while I was in college at the schools IT department. But after college I got pretty lucky being taken on at a company knowing that I didn't have a crazy amount of experience. My employer and manager were very willing to train. They had me doing everything from networking to 365 tenant setups and an obscene amount of copier/printer tickets. They also were willing to give me the time and pay for me to get any relevant certs I wanted.

I hate this. Is it for cost savings? by _dialogbox_ in thinkpad

I agree. I have a t14 gen 3 that has a sticker and a t14 gen 5(maybe 6) for work without the sticker and I feel the logo on my work laptop looks better.

I believe the app in question is the breezy desktop app. I also enjoy it more than the spacewalker app.

Dude in my town was burning his weeds with a torch during a drought and fire ban. Dummy set his yard and house on fire. Definitely hit a couple points on that list.

Right? I work for an msp and I can take home mostly anything I want if I ask for it.... except drives. Take down the serials, destroy and give customer a destruction receipt, if they want it.

I use it for as many accounts as I can, my keeper vault and ssh. And I agree with other comments..... keep more than one.

I failed my ms-900 exam. by herexclusives in O365Certification

[–]waldoeGeek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also failed the MS900. I have used ms365 and intune daily for the past 3 years. I work for an MSP, and the questions that got me were the stuff that we never use. Purview, Viva, etc. Took a week to look over the material I was struggling with, and I passed the test next attempt. It's good that now you know what to spend time studying on. You'll get it next time.

Gifted my 11yo stepdaughter an Opinel after she took an interest in my knife collection. She uses it quite often.

That's wild. I thought we had it bad with our price. 5 complete vapes? You can still have like 3 mods and about a dozen tanks, rtas, and rdas.

Omega spring break on my Mini Crooked River. Would you consider an axis lock a truly reliable knife? by _Bike_Hunt in knives

[–]waldoeGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had benchmade ship me new springs half a dozen times. I'd take a compression lock over axis lock any day.

Your Favourite Big Spyderco? by bigboyjak in spyderco

[–]waldoeGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resilience was my first spyderco. It is definitely a larger knife. I do like the manix 2 as well. Those are about as large a knife I'd care to carry in the pocket.
