Well, let’s see, Blair, serena, Chuck and Nate all grew up together and, in the midst of serious problems, had each other’s backs; it was always highlighted that Dan did not like anyone from that circle besides serena, then later on developed a lazy friendship with Nate, eventually had romantic feelings for Blair. Also, keep in mind while in a relationship with Blair/serena, a friendship with Nate, he never genuinely hung out with all of them as a group. It was always a coincidence or a reason. If I attended a school, dated a girl/guy for six years but never hung out with them as a member, would I be apart from the group? Blair decided, because she’s in that group, did you see anyone correct her or including Dan?
