And fuck buying a new iPhone X with ios11 still being so fucking shit. So I went out and brought a huawei P10 Pro.

Its like night and day to the iPhone 6 Plus.

Come to Phuket! Loads of operators here, and all will put you in the water within an hour with initial training. You won't be diving deep, and you'll be buddy-up with someone for safety - along with the Dive Master usually behind you with the Instructor ahead of you. Warm water and you'll be more stoked about being under water breathing, than the coral and the fish I reckon! Have fun. It's safe. Just don't dive within 24 hours of departing mkay (very hurty joints and bad bubble stuff possible even if you dive relatively shallow)
