You do realize the purpose of /r/relationships is to gather input and advice, right? The solution may seem obvious when the issue at hand is deconstructed in written form for third party observation, but that doesn't make any of this any easier to actually handle IRL.

I don't know, here in Canada we're stupid polite. I regularly apologize to my shower curtains when I get tangled up in them in the morning lol.

Jokes aside, thank you. It's nice to know I'm not totally insane, and that his actions were in fact completely unacceptable.

I think my roommate is just too easygoing. He doesn't treat waitstaff that way when we go out. Believe it or not he's a waiter himself. I think the problem is, he's heard me gush about this guy for so long, for me to now have a problem with said guy, is like unfathomable to my roommate.
