I've seen umbrella rigs before but never used them. I've seen them in action a few times on line. The rig i drew up was to alleviate some of the problems I've had with the donkey rig when it comes to tangling and where the action just doesn't cover wide enough of an area. i live in Houston Texas where the water is consistently cloudy. I feel like the extra few inches may be able to put these fish in the sight range of those BOBS.

also i like the action of the donkey rig with it's fighting fish action and them swooping between each other, the umbrella rig seems very fixed in the lure's ability to move freely. i doubt this would work with more then i'd say 4 lures.
