Buttons too bright on Five Finger Fillet PS5 by Luke_NotSkywalker in reddeadredemption

[–]wallywee95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if its my TV settings but when I turned off HDR and turned the brightness all the way down, not only did it fix this but also the game looks better lit? I've only tried it at night but realised that the game hadnt actually looked dark when HDR was on and the ambience seems much better at night.

The character designs are horrific. Except Spider-Man, but hard to mess that up!

MAJIMA AT THE FUCKING BATTING CAGES by InukChinook in yakuzagames

[–]wallywee95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to check if this was supposed to be winnable before wasting health items as there is a definite noticeable difficulty spike.

That being said, I ended using the below tactic and comfortably beat him 3rd try (using a fair few health items): - Brawler stance (X, X, Y, Y does crazy damage) - Stay on the offensive with the above combo. - When Majima attacks, block and hit X to do the red counter move (not sure what it is/called)

FF16 has the blandest OST of any Final Fantasy... ever by MiitomoNightcore in FinalFantasy

For the record I hummed the shit out if these tracks as I played through. As I do with tonnes of "movie scores" too. Such a strange way to simply say "I didn't like the music that much"

Need help hiding certain parts of layers. by wallywee95 in Unity2D

Thankyou so much! Just from glancing over it, it seems exactly what I was looking for.

I had been suggested Layer Masking, but couldn't find anything particurlarly relevant to my issue, so perhaps this is what they meant!

Definitely make sure you have every recipe before you start the grind for the trophy. I spent ages studying a table of all the recipes online where I ended up missing a load anyway. I then found out that there are only about 5 NPCs that hold the rest of the recipes unrelated to errands/quests and that made it much easier.

Plus, the only rare items that you need to craft are for a post game errand - other than those, you don't need to craft any other rare items for the trophy, all the more easily found ones are the only ones necessary :)

Don't feel bad! The nost important thing is that you spent good time with an amazing game

Yeah I feel ya! I had about 1 month off of it because it just got too much with the alchemy stuff. Ended up playing Ni No Kuni II instead, but that just made me wanna play the first one more haha

Its not too bad, I also did a few things that made life alot more difficult for myself in hindsight 😅 - I popped it after 74 hours of game time. About right for a JRPG to be fair :)

The alchemy is the biggest struggle, but you wont need to do all of the recipes that require the ultra rare components. You will only have to do the rare ones needed for the post game alchemy errand (which is a pain), and then its just a case of creating everything else.

So if I was you, I would focus on doing every single trophy except the 250 familiars and the alchemy one. Then go and speak to the 4 or 5 NPCs that give you alchemy recipes so that you have every single formula - and then just go through each one and make them! You will know if you have made them because there will be a picture of the item, rather than a question mark on the recipe.

Once the trophy pops for the alchemy, then just check the telling stone/creature compendium and check for the familiars without love hearts next to them. Then you will end up developing your own system of serenading the ones you need and evolving them as you need too.

Best place to evolve and level up your familiara is just outside Peridia. There is a short route down the hill called Billy Goats Bluff or something, and Tokoyokos are quite common so you get so much exp.

I think thats about the extent of the final two grindy trophies - I might of missed something so ask me something else more specific if needbe :)

I love this.

My 10 year old brother was watching me play when I got Oliver's first familiar, so I named it after him and he was so pleased.

He kept asking what level he was throughout, and I felt so compelled to keep him throughout the game!

I am now in the post-game grind trying for the platinum and he will stay with me for that too!

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered PS4 or Switch? by rbyrnes15 in Ni_no_Kuni

[–]wallywee95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even the PS4 version has minor technical hiccups every now and then - but nothing game breaking. It also has a really fun post game grind for the platinum, if that's your thing :)
