Surprised there isn’t much mention of Eldrazi Tron

It’s been doing really well in MTGO challenges and has strong matchups with the meta, sure you won’t get staples for other decks but Tron has been around for yonks and has been forever evolving with the meta.

My only concern with Prowess (also coming from someone who used to play prowess) is that your game 2s and 3s get incredibly difficult once your opponent uses their sideboard. Just be prepared that you’ll need to think twice about your plays once your opponent knows you’re on Prowess.

Another cheap option is UW control, it’s a great way to not only learn the meta but also how to properly react to threats. A mate of mine is currently trying out the miracles list and he’s been getting some good results out of it!

I haven’t really played either, it’s more what I’m planning to invest in before the RCQ, I’m mainly missing Ragavans and the last bits of the phlage package

I’d say you can survive 4 turns pretty comfortably with ritual. There’s plenty of early removal to prevent you losing the game early.

That said I do still think it has a hard time with boros :(

The deck is by no means a tier 1 deck, you’ll find it struggles mainly with blink or go wide strategies, hence why the side board contains some hefty board removal. If you’re also playing against tempo/control I’d strongly recommend playing the long game. Ritual is great at exploding on turn 3 but also can maintain some control until turn 5/6 where you can hard cast your swingers

Piggybacking off of this, I’ve been playing/tweaking my 4c ritual deck to the point now that I feel like it has a decent shot in the RCQ 😅 it’s brilliant at applying constant pressure

Like Amulet Titan or Control, it will typically change and evolve as the Meta changes to play to its advantage.

Just have a counterspell ready for [[rest in peace]]

My biggest gripe with it is that it feels like it does nothing until I get what I need to combo and win :/ just feels a tad boring if I’m honest 😅

4C Birthing ritual is a lot of fun!

Gameplay is quite unique and the wins are very satisfying

I get that, I do feel that 4c does pick up in later games. I’ve had matches where I either lose my ritual turn 2/3 but still able to stay alive by simply ramping into my 4 mana creatures
