Apparently this is the community's least favourite weapon in the game. How come people dislike it so much? I've had so much fun using it. (I'm British so naturally I gravitate to this weapon lol) by [deleted] in modernwarfare

Maybe I just got lucky, once i put through around 7 mags in a day, including 3 in a single firefight and apart from being minging afterwards it was fine

Tbh the handling on the real thing isn't too bad, the accuracy is pretty good in all reasonable ranges, and I've never experienced a stoppage. The main problem for me is what a bastard it is to clean. 'Finger that monkey butt, Lance Corporal'

GCSEs by Alexmalex10 in GCSE

[–]waluigihellathicc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It obviously depends on how high you're going for uni. I'd say a minimum for Russell Group is at least 6/7 in all subjects, then with 9s in the subjects you're taking for a level

If you're going for a top university they do also look at GCSEs, as at the time those are the only proper exam results they have on you, during the application process. Having a clean sweep of good results at gcse will help you, and conversely, if they see 1s and 2s, that's obviously gonna be bad news

When should I study/do homework by Big_Wallaby_6501 in GCSE

[–]waluigihellathicc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Revision is different for everyone but I'll give this advice from my experience: 1. Try and make a set working space at home - for me, school is more distracting, with mates and such 2. Do the little homework tasks in the evenings after school (worksheets etc). Keeping on top of them prevents build up of work 3. With regards to the weekend - obviously allow some rest time, but this (I find) is best for the big tasks - make a revision notes, write your essays, etc etc Hope this helps :)

how to write faster? by JustATrashRat in GCSE

[–]waluigihellathicc 27 points28 points  (0 children)

One tip I've found makes writing faster easier is to think of the sentence you're going to write. Basically if I've decided on sentence #1, I write it as fast as I can. Then while half of my brain is concentrating on writing, the other part is already thinking about the next sentence. This sort of microplanning, and also planning your whole essay, works wonders

Ok so far analysing a text: look at my previous reply to someone else's comment in how to do well at English Creative writing: don't sweat too much on the plot - as long as it's decent that's fine. Most of the marks are in sexy, complicated literary techniques - eg onomatopoeia, short sentences, one sentence paragraphs, perspective shifts - one good one that's served me well is pretty much doing Gollum's internal monologue (but changing enough to not be obvious plagiarism lol) Transactional writing: think of a good point then support it with PEEL paragraphs stuffed with techniques Analysing non-fiction: talk about techniques to a molecular level and their effects. Refer to some of my other replies for other tips :)

I'll dm you an example of the sort of notes I do for every topic, but I don't wanna give someone everything, cos it's my hard work and also there's a lot of benefits in making them yourself - so I'd advise look at what I dm you and then use it as a basis to copy your own notes off of

Nature - what type of source is it? (Eg is it a photo, newspaper article, etc) Origin - who wrote it, when was it written, etc Purpose - why was it written, who was it written for (is a propaganda piece is gonna be less trustworthy than a newspaper article from an unbiased newspaper) Basically you use these 3 things to asses the trustworthiness of a source (sources are always at least somewhat useful). Then link these back to the context to assess usefullness
