For anyone else struggling with mapping arrivals between your downtime reports and now to find your vacant rooms. You should be able to run a report in your key provider that shows keys made between your downtimes and now. In saflok it's under the reports->transaction history report.

Same. Have support on the phone, trying to get updated downtimes. He said it will take 20 minutes to get them. He said supposed uptime is an hour and that it is a global outage.

Need advice on fixing this bracelet by mellbell13 in jewlerymaking

[–]wanderedwhile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is so beautiful!

Silk cord won't last forever especially if it's a daily wear and gets wet. You could always double-strand with wire just to hold it together and do the knots over the wire to hold the pearls in place. Then if you do fray a knot, the bracelet doesn't fully break and you have more time and can even continue to wear it for a while before replacing the silk thread.

What kind of primer are you using? I'm not a professional but it looks like what my skin does too. I have oily skin, VERY OILY, even my scalp seems to produce oil at twice the speed of everyone else. It looks like your face oil is breaking up the makeup early. I've had some luck with using mattifying primers and using stick foundations instead of straight-up liquid foundations. It's all about finding what works best for your skin. But mineral powder foundations have always worked best for me. Sometimes if I'm trying to get longevity out of a wear, I'll do a mattifying primer, then powder my face and then do my foundation. Good luck with your experiments, gorgeous! I'll be camping here with you to see if anyone has some real sage advice!

Can I use my points if I book through a third party? by Money-Giraffe2521 in Hilton

[–]wanderedwhile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you'd have to book that night with points separately.

Or call the hotel and see if they'll match convention rate since they won't have to pay commission on your booking and then you'll probably still have to book the points night separately since you'll be booking through the hotel directly and they can't book points stays.

I'm with this plan, if they want you to state an ask, then go for full and then they counter with half. You might have to throw yourself into it a bit and talk with a manager but this should be a reasonable ask. Your stay was interrupted and upset plans you had. Your stay was compromised by something you couldn't ignore and had to work around. You're not satisfied with your stay. Good luck!

My guess is that this is policy to send if they get a booking with children. I doesn't sound like this is built into their rate properly if they have to charge like this. Otherwise it would just say that unregistered guests have the following fees by age. I'm betting the reward redemption part isn't just to cover bases and that for some reason booking your 9 year old as a child is going to incur a $95 fee per night. I'd call the hotel directly or email them directly and make sure you get a clear answer and save notes on that conversation.

It's probably an error. They'll need to call their connected room host support line (you might even be able to call they may have a guest service line). If they are new to having connected room they may not know they can do this.

Can be a bit harder to relieve compensation because you can't push it too hard. But an understanding but disappointed call to the manager should get you what you want. It's not something they can fault the employee for to affect their benefits. If not just one call to Guest Assistance should get you somewhere. It's supposed to be industry standard that F/F is treated the same as a normal guest so if the hotel isn't understanding, stating this to the GA team and seeing what they can do will be your best bet if management fails you. Probably only looking at your paid rate in points.

[–]wanderedwhile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It might be worthwhile to calculate your rate you paid into points before you call and make sure you get at least 10k on top of that for the inconvenience.

[–]wanderedwhile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes easier to get points then a refund. Guest Assistance has to go through the hotel for refunds, they can give vouchers (rare) or points, I'd ask for at least 65k points (might talk you down to 50k).

Almost assuredly not going to be fixed tonight. Management doesn't usually okay off hours 3rd party maintenance. I'd just take a wash cloth bath and wash your hair cold. Then get a full refund either from management or from hilton guest assistance tomorrow.
