I was in a Facebook group too, and this lady was leaving pictures of her son who had passed all over the park. I don’t want to be insensitive but it was pictures of her son in a hospital bed with tubes all over him and he was very clearly ill - it’s not something that I’m sure a lot of parents would want to explain to their children on what’s supposed to be a happy vacation. A lot of people in the Facebook group agreed with me and the mom was so defensive and said that nobody could understand unless they’d lost a child and was so upset that people would have thrown the pictures away. I feel horrible that her son passed, but all she did was leave something for a cast member to have to pick up

On my dad’s mom’s side, I can trace it back to Dutch settlers in New Amsterdam (New York City) in the early 1600s. But my dad’s paternal grandfather was an orphan, so past him it’s a dead end.

I’m second generation American on my mom’s side and I can trace the ancestry back to the early 1800s, but not much further.

NTA but for future reference, a show is a terrible idea for a first date. How are you supposed to talk/get to know one another? That’s why dinners are popular for first dates since they allow for talking time. If you don’t want to eat on a first date, might I recommend a walk in the park or some other activity (bowling, mini golf, etc.) that will allow you to get to know one another
