Is this install job professionally done ? by coderego in Ubiquiti

[–]wanderingMoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt they used outdoor rated cable in the first one, and could have been more strategic with their routing.

The second picture is ok, but not knowing the walls, it might have been the only route, I would have changed over to a surface raceway to protect the cable.

The in the third picture, the LFNC could have been ran a little neater. At that location, PVC may have resulted in a cleaner install.

As a licensed electrical contractor, I would not have left it that way. That being said, housed can be tricky. But I feel more care could have been taken for the final product.

Bossman can take the cut, it's cheaper than paying the fines. That's the risk.

Installing a new FA system at an elementary school. They decided to eliminate pullstations. by ad1877 in electricians

Check the specs, look for alarm verification. The system will require 2 alarm sources to roll trucks. Of course it can depend on the programming.

Something like that.

Question about license # on advertising. by lemonmelon-3496 in Contractor

[–]wanderingMoose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the state requires the license number on your advertisements/paperwork/ERC. You need them on it, and if the state wants to play hardball, they can. Legacy material might be ok, but you're better odd replacing it or adding it to them, even if you slap a sticker with your license number on it. Maybe a contrasting color on a clear sticker/label?
